Confirmed: Bachmann is either an epic hypocrite or a moron

If she's such a moron why was she hired by the US Treasury to protect them from tax cheats?
I've already brought that up and been ignored. It's fine to agree or disagree with her policy positions and even call her a hypocrite, but comparing her to Palin and labeling her as a moron is just a sad attempt to marginalize her rather than confront her positions.

I believe I said she's way smarter than Palin.

And that's not really the issue, anyway. Its not raw smarts, or IQ. Its a willingness to harp on something as "socialist" when she presumably doesn't know what the word means.

(I say presumably because, if she does know, then one must naturally ask why she's a part owner of a farm that takes significant subsidies).

You are the one who apparently doesn't understand the term "socialist". The state subsidizes the farm... it does not own or manage it.

So no one that lawfully participates in an industry that somehow is subsidized by the federal government can criticize Obama for socialist tendencies? What about if they receive tax credits for driving a Prius?

hint: it's called politics 101 when running for office. Everyone does it... dems and reps alike.

By that definition, sir, Obama care is not the least bit socialist.

No. It isn't. The concern is that it makes provisions for socializing the system if the "primary" method does not work... and the primary method is designed for failure. On that one point, Obama has stated openly that he wants a single payer, gov't run system. He wants a socialist/fascist/statist model for health care. Obamacare legislation is an end run to achieve that goal since it could not stand on merit.

Agreed. She seems to be an articulate and at least a fairly sharp woman. I do have one issue with her: she has a wild stare, imo. Her eyes scream 'helter skelter' to me, lol.

If the situation were reversed and a conservative was calling two prominent D women dumb that person would be branded as sexist.

She's both, although moron is likely the more accurate characterization. Hardly breaking news though; I'm sure Republicans and Democrats alike are well aware of her shortcomings at this point.

I'm not sure when ignorance suddenly became in vogue, but after 8 years of Dubya, hopefully voters have seen the light, and recognize how potentially dangerous it is to elect a leader who couldn't pass 3rd grade history to the world's most powerful office.

I took a pell grant and a state grant to get through college. I took about 15k off of the government in the course of getting my degree.

Trust me, they've made their money back.

I assume you speak of Barack Hussein Obama?

Dictatorship? :)

I prefer to call it the 'double whammy!'

ps; I am still trying to get an answer from anyone concerning the thread titled something like; 'modern history of Israel vs moslem propaganda.'

That thread had approximately 75 posts but was deleted from the board. Why?

Admittedly some of the last few post may have violated board rules and no doubt I may have been one of the posters to do so.

Still, is that reason enough to delete the whole thread?

Is there any possibility of restoring that thread to the board?

Very mysterious.

At any rate I have been thinking of starting the thread again but would first like to find out what was so objectionable as to have the whole thread deleted.

Any clue??

I gotta make a comment about your pic and it in no way is a shot at you. Just a thought.

Many people don't know this but castro wears not one, but two Rolex at the same time.

If this was a banker the outcry would be loud.

That's an interesting point.

I am just rocking this avatar for the shock value here on VN. It's like wearing a Klan hood while cruising in Harlem.

That's probably true. But in both this case and your hypothetical one, the hats seem to be likely to fit.

I'll be honest, I never saw two Rolex watches. Does he wear them on the same arm?

Castro, you know, during the early land redistribution era, nationalized his own lands. His mother stayed in the house until she died (which was soon after the Revolution, I believe), and then a peasant family received it.

Just sayin' :hi:

The more I look back at the last half decade of the 20th, the more Castro stands out as an anti-hero. History has indeed absolved him.

ACLG could just have easily said; "Confirmed: Barack Hussein Obama is either an epic hypocrite or a moron."

I would vote BOTH.

Meanwhile Fidel lives in a palace.

His mother denounced him for confiscating her small farm.

It must be pretty bad when your own mother calls you a scumbag.

Only revisionist marxist history can absolve him of being the murderous thug that he is, same goes for his pal Nelson Mandela.

Stop being a pussary and go ahead and call Mandela a terrorist. I dare you. Since I've seen a few Pulp Fiction quotes floating around VN, I double dog dare you.

Feel free to make suggestions for the future. I've been rotating them frequently as of late.

I liked the koolaid wino one, it suits you so well.

You just don't have the personality to be a petty dictator and besides, I bet you don't even smoke.

I'd like to submit that ACLG has one of the best, he is the epitome of a cheap trick!!
