Won't argue with Isbell's appeal and talent and following, but he's just painful to listen to for me.

Guess I'll stick with hardcore Trump supporters like Willy Braun and BJ Barham. And that damned fascist Hayes Carll.

Carbon Leaf covers “I’m on Fire” in a lot of live shows. They’re fantastic. But I don’t think CL can do anything wrong. I’m not really a Springsteen fan. Haven’t gotten to listen to the new Isbell album yet

I was nervous about this after reading all the anxiety and strife it caused Isbell with the wifey.

I was nervous for no reason. Another home run from Isbell and at minimum more Grammy nods. If not more wins

I’ve listened to the album quite a few times now and it’s really good but I just really don’t care for the first track. One bad song doesn’t make for a bad album but it just sucks for me that that particular song is A1. I get the point but a 6+ minute song where they same line gets repeated for what feels like 4 of those 6 minutes is just grating.

I listened to the first track on my way home from work. Was not fond of it. Listened to the rest and was blown away

Completely agree. It’s only a 10 song album so I don’t want any less songs but 2-10 are just fantastic and I think I just wish Dreamsicle lead off and What’ve I Done to Help was somehow buried in the middle.

Yeah, it’s the weakest song on the album. I like it but don’t love it.

He always sticks one of those on his albums. A song to be sang loud and live.
