Crime Ridden Memphis

Nationwide, murder rates dropped by record percentages in 2023. Except for Memphis.

This is proof that Mulroy and his "do not prosecute" and "no cash bail" are complete and utter failures....

The citizens voted for this assclown and over 600 murders later, they are getting what they wanted....

Who could have possibly imagined this would be the result? How do these brain dead jackwagons keep getting voted into power?

Driving Crime: More Than 22,000 Vehicle Thefts In Memphis In 2 Years

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police reported 12,555 motor vehicle thefts last year, with nearly 10,000 the year before, and only around 1 in 10 of those cases ever solved.

It’s an enormous number with a tremendous impact. Each car belonged to someone. Some of them shared their stories with News Channel 3.

Ive got a novel idea...if the police and mayor are certain that these guys are "high ranking gang members" why not arrest them on the spot? There are certainly charges that can be filed...pertaining to organized crime if nothing else

State to Step In At Shelby County Clerk’s Office, Citing ‘Incompetence’

'Past the point of no return,' county trustee says of inaccurate reports from Halbert's office

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The State Comptroller’s Office will assist the Shelby County Clerk’s Office due to its inability to “accurately manage finances,” the office announced Tuesday.

Jason Mumpower, the Comptroller of the Treasury, announced his lack of confidence in the financial and operational management of the Clerk’s Office. He said he’s never seen anything like it in any Tennessee clerk’s office.

“The evidence of incompetence and willful neglect by management in the Shelby County Clerk’s Office is overwhelming,” said Mumpower. “I have no confidence in the Clerk’s Office to manage its affairs without outside intervention.”

Mumpower said the group of four or five auditors and CPAs will arrive in Shelby County no later than Monday. They will try to figure out where mistakes have been made by auditing and reviewing financials to reconcile collections of the wheel tax, so the county can craft its budget.

Last week, it was reported that Clerk Wanda Halbert submitted inaccurate revenue reports for several months. Reports do not break out the wheel tax revenue.

County leaders have asked Halbert to step down. Meanwhile, prosecutors from East Tennessee are investigating Halbert for a possible ouster from office.

I certainly don't want to give the police the power to arrest someone for simply being a member of a criminal organization.

Think about that for a second.

This is precisely why I left Memphis in 1988.
