You can disagree all you want but Loudon County Virginia is a perfect case study. School boards should be monitored closely there should welcome oversight, especially from parents. Yet they have handled things very poorly, and then doubled down on their poor handling by treating concerned parents as the enemy instead of partners. We will just have to disagree on this.

The school board made themselves the enemy and deserve every bit of scrutiny they are getting.
I'm saying it's an example of a school board who had made multiple mistakes and found themselves under the microscope. There are at least three other high profile instances right now. Just imagine what would happen if more parents got involved and started asking questions.lol....
That's one school board out of tens of thousands.
That's like saying everyone in the military is a nut, because one guy goes nuts.
You do know why they are "high profile" don't you?I'm saying it's an example of a school board who had made multiple mistakes and found themselves under the microscope. It is not that simple. CRT is a subject best taught in college where the students “should” be a little more proficient in critical thinking. It should never be taught to elementary students or even high school students. Teaching those ideas to young people who can’t grasp the concept is pure indoctrination. As to school boards, my limited interactions with two school boards over the last decade left me with the impression that they think they are above the parents and feel as though they should not be questioned. That is a poor attitude to display when they work for the parents. You do know why they are "high profile" don't you?
Because the right wing media is trying to enflame their base.
No one has ever or would ever say that 100% of school boards function properly all of the time.
No one has ever or would ever say that 100% of enlisted military function properly all of the time.
No one has ever or would ever say that 100% of doctors practice without error all of the time.
You get the picture. There is an effort by the right wing media to portray public education in the worst possible way and use CRT
as the newest boogie man.
It's that simple.

Doctors kill people. They are creating nothing, they are pulling back the shroud that the left hid this behind. When busted they doubled down and deemed those that were critical as alt right. That is the boogeyman here, and it's not as isolated as you dismiss it as being.
I never said all, I said there is a problem, one side wants to shed light on the problem and fix it, the other side is plugging their ears and saying the problem doesn't exist you're alt right lunatics how dare you question us....Doctors kill people.
The military are a bunch of nuts.
Republicans are racists.
I can find you 3 examples of each to prove it.
Our disagreement would come on how large of a problem we view it to be.I never said all, I said there is a problem, one side wants to shed light on the problem and fix it, the other side is plugging their ears and saying the problem doesn't exist you're alt right lunatics how dare you question us....
I'm sorry but in this instance you're just on the wrong side. CRT or elements of it are making their way into school classrooms with no input from parents. That shouldn't happen.
The degree to which it happens is up for debate but we've been told it isn't being taught at all, then instances are found where it is, even after the board denied it. Then internal documents are leaked showing an attempt to "rebrand" and wiggle around using specific terms.
School boards around the country have lied to their parents. I can guarantee there are more. I remember I was told this wasnt being taught, then I found out it was. Forgive me for being skeptical.

Sort of like portraying one supposed incident of racism as an example of systemic racism or white supremacy? You do know why they are "high profile" don't you?

All 14 black Democrat lawmakers in Mississippi Senate WALK OUT in protest over bill to ban teaching that 'any race is superior or inferior' and curb Critical Race Theory in schools
All 14 black Mississippi state senators, all Democrats, walked out before a vote on a bill that forbids teaching students at public schools and colleges that 'that any sex, race, ethnicity, religion or national origin is inherently superior or inferior.'
- All 14 black lawmakers in the Mississippi state Senate walked out in protest of a proposed bill that bans teaching 'that any race is superior or inferior' Friday
The bill later passed passed 32-2, with only two Democratic legislators - David Blount and Hob Bryan, both white - voting against it. It now heads to the Mississippi state House for approval.
