Cuonzo Martin must be fired asap...

How is UVA and Georgetown doing? Records? Neither were really BAD losses in my opinion. The Georgetown loss does SEEM somewhat bad because of the way we lost...37-36. That loss stung, but it wasnt a BAD loss like an Oakland, College of Charlston, Austin Peay, etc. Yes, Mr Negative here agrees that this team does not have ANY chi t losses. That is a big step for Martin and this team in my book. Those losses to those crap programs mentioned above were inexcusable. Pearl was the coach for the first Oakland loss at home..still cant believe we lost that one lol

I include old miss in the bad losses bucket. Not that we lost and should have won, but rather how we got thrashed at home. Road conference games should be tough. We made that game too easy for them and thus turned a loss into a bad loss.

Was it a frustrating loss? Yes. No one will look at that as a bad loss unless they have an agenda. As I stated in the postgame report that night, that game had a feeling that we were never really in or out of that game. It wasn't out of hand until the final moments when we went into panic mode trying to score. We were generally within 8-10 points for the majority of the game. Nothing insurmountable, but never had the feeling we would put a good enough run together to seriously threaten.

I was at that game, it stunk for sure lol Yeah, the game was a lot closer than what the final score indicated. They just gave up when we went down like 11-12 pts.

Don't give me that crap....you'd take Calipari in a heartbeat and you know it

I honest to god would not, same as I can honestly say I didn't want Kiffin from the beginning. I prefer integrity and ethics over selling my soul just to hang a few banners.

Haha...yeah. It's that easy. Just plug and play. We're so deep and overly talented. /sarcasm/

I love how everyone is blaming all of this on Maymon's injury. Basketball isn't about one guy. Martin isn't just supposed to coach Maymon, he's supposed to coach them all, and right now, I'm not seeing anyone being coached up. Coach the team, not one player

I can't believe the idiots that want him fired. Actually I can since most of our fans know nothing about basketball. Next year we will be a top 15 team if not top 10.

I don't really follow basketball, but I've heard numerous season ticket holders mention that the atmosphere has really changed since Martin took over. It's like the crowd sits silently, while the crowd was fired up and involved with Pearl.

I can see that, but there were many times when it was quiet with Pearl as coach, too. A lot of it has to do with the best seats going to the old/rich folks that don't cheer while the students get crap baseline. Put the students behind the visitors' bench, and it'll be better. Was at the Bama game, and it was rocking pretty decently. Not as great as some Pearl games, but it wasn't embarrassing.

Blue hairs whining about crowd noise? That's cute. A bulk of them will be selling their tickets to UK fans as will be clear this Saturday when they're all over the lower level.

Cuonzo Martin needs to be fired at the end of THIS season if we do not or barely make the NIT. Its not working folks! This team is nothing more than a bunch of underachieving, weak-minded, bumbling soft tulips! Your star player is more worried about how his headband looks than the number of points he scores! Watch Stokes after a hard-fought lay in...he will go right after that handband and fix it so it looks even lol What a tulip!!

Marin shows no emotion on the sidelines and always comes up with "We need to start doing this more..and we need to start doing that more"....WELL THEN DO IT THEN!!!!! Hes lost this team, Im sorry. I see no improvements whatsoever. This team is EXCRUCIATING to watch anymore. We deserve better UT nation!

This team and program cant afford another season under this clown. Its time Hart man up, pay the man what hes owed and cut your losses. Time to take Hamiltons trash out and never bring the bin back in the garage.

Best player is hurt, PG has been hurt all year, guys are having to play multiple positions due to injuries, but you're right, it's all CCM's fault.

I'm holding out judgement until next year. Hubbs, Stokes, and Maymon will be the best front court in the conference. If he can't win with them, then maybe CCM needs to be re-evaluated.

I've been going to bball games since Wade was the coach. It has never been loud like a UK, Duke or even FL. The seating arrangements don't work for a good home court advantage. Too many old quiet people where there should be students.

I love how everyone is discounting the importance of Maymon's injury. Basketball isn't about one guy, but when he's your best player, missing him for the entire season will likely depreciate the entire team. I want Martin fired immediately because he only coaches Maymon.

Fify

Yeah, because All-SEC players just grow on trees.

I'll also add even if it turns out Martin doesn't get it done next season, he still deserved a Year 3.

I know alot of people won't like it but I am looking at it this way as well. Compared to most other SEC schools we are one of the most financally unstable AD's in the conference. Add to that our main Revenue which is football has been struggling. IMO I think Hart's main focus right now is to get the football program stable and generating revenue again then he will adress any other issues as needed and unless CCM just totally implodes I don't see him going anywhere the next couple years.
