I am not ready to fire CCM, but I disagree with the bolded 100%.

My two biggest reasons for not firing CCM are 1) he did sign Hubbs and deserves a chance to coach his team next season when he'll hopefully have all hands on deck, and 2) I honestly have no confidence that our AD would find a replacement who would be better right now.

Hopefully, the program turns a major corner next season.

But, middle of the pack in the SEC? NO, I am not accepting that.

Every year that Pearl was our coach we made it to the NCAA Tournament:


2006 - #2 seed (defeated in 2nd round)
2007 - #5 seed (defeated in Sweet 16)
2008 - #2 seed (defeated in Sweet 16)
2009 - #9 seed (defeated in 1st round)
2010 - #6 seed (defeated in Elite 8)
2011 - #9 seed (defeated in 1st round)

Im so angry because Im sick and tired of mediocrity permeating throughout this once-proud program!! Are you Volunteer fans or MTSU fans? MTSU fans may not give a flying chit about their teams, but here at UT, we do! Havent you seen enough to know that this man is waaaaaay in over his head JUST like Doofus Doolittle was. You're damn right Im one frustrated, bitter and resentful Vol fan AND alum! We DO deserve better than Hamiltons trash hires. I really liked Martin and still do as A MAN. But, not as our coach. What is it with this fanbase and accepting mediocrity? Our problem is our administration is TOO DAMN NICE! They let a disaster turn into a catastrophe before they do anything about it.

Call me an idiot..say wow...say oh lord...say whatever. My anger and frustrations stem from the passion I have for this beloved school. I love the Vols more than any other team in the world, and Im from Detroit. I bleed Orange. I will always demand more and expect more. Thats the way it should be at the University of Tennessee. If you cant handle some criticism of our coaches, maybe its time to start rooting for UTC and MTSU.

you haven't read enough on here if you don't think I see it.
But I also know the game and know we have no pg, who should have the ball 80% of the time on offensive possessions. If he can't develop one or find one quickly, his tenure will be done.

If it were my choice, I would give Coach Zo another year to see what he can do with a healthy team and 1 more recruiting class. It they stink it up next year, then bring back Pearl.

Seriously 20% of the posters on Vol Nation need to burn all their UT gear and hand in their fan card. The stupidity of these threads the last 48 hours is truly mind boggling. How about we let Martin get Hubbs in here and by that time Maymon will be back and see how he does with the talent he has next year. If this team doesn't improve then maybe we can start to B***h, until then stfu and remember BRUCE ISN'T COMING BACK.

We're tired of waiting around til next year bro, dont you finger-pointers get it?!! This is a very bitter, resentful, frustrated and embarrassed fanbase. Us wanting mediocrity to be thrown in the trash and demanding more need should get an upgrade "VIP" card if you ask me. Why are we not real fans if we demand more? Again, you Dooley disciples are just too damn patient. Ive lost my patience! Im sick of losing and being the laughing stock of the SEC. Im sick of friends that love to hate on my Vols always saying "lame orange" after every single Vol loss, no matter what the sport. We're all different in here, thats what makes the world go round and round. Remember, we all want the best for our beloved vols, no matter how we may express it. In the end, we are all family :)

Besides can this University really afford another buyout? We start wondering why Tennessee isn't getting blue chip players and it's probably because every other coach in the SEC is telling the kids "Look the Tennessee fans already want their coach fired." "The fans don't back the coaching staff, if you go to UT I guarantee you the coach you commit to won't be there by the time you graduate." That's a pretty powerful recruiting tool if you think about it, if other coaches can use our fans against UT then we are up s*** creek without a paddle.
