Cuonzo Martin must be fired asap...

You fire a head coach who has only been here 2 seasons and you'll never get a quality coach to even sniff that campus. Give the man another season. He needs time to recruit and build this team. It's not like Pearl left the pantry full.

Yeah, but Slystone, have you watched this team play much this year? They get worse by the game! No leadership, defeat written all over their faces, no confidence, choke artists at the line in critical moments, sloppy play, etc....its sickening and old! If he makes it to the NIT and does well or wins it, fine, Im all for him staying. We are in jeopardy of not making that tourney, do you realize that? lol

We're tired of waiting around til next year bro, dont you finger-pointers get it?!! This is a very bitter, resentful, frustrated and embarrassed fanbase. Us wanting mediocrity to be thrown in the trash and demanding more need should get an upgrade "VIP" card if you ask me. Why are we not real fans if we demand more? Again, you Dooley disciples are just too damn patient. Ive lost my patience! Im sick of losing and being the laughing stock of the SEC. Im sick of friends that love to hate on my Vols always saying "lame orange" after every single Vol loss, no matter what the sport. We're all different in here, thats what makes the world go round and round. Remember, we all want the best for our beloved vols, no matter how we may express it. In the end, we are all family :)

I understand your point and I respect it, and I'm just as pissed as anyone when I watch this team. However we can't keep hiring coaches and firing them after 2 years. We have to at least see if they can get it turned around. If we fire Martin at the end of the season then Hubbs most likely isn't coming here and it shows the rest of the country that there is no consistency at Tennessee at all.

Bringing Pearl back in 1 more year is consistancy. It shows we know and like a winner.

Besides can this University really afford another buyout? We start wondering why Tennessee isn't getting blue chip players and it's probably because every other coach in the SEC is telling the kids "Look the Tennessee fans already want their coach fired." "The fans don't back the coaching staff, if you go to UT I guarantee you the coach you commit to won't be there by the time you graduate." That's a pretty powerful recruiting tool if you think about it, if other coaches can use our fans against UT then we are up s*** creek without a paddle.

Blaming the fans for the woes of UT basketball and football is sort of like blaming the victim for being raped.

That's pretty much how Arkansas got Peters. I'm not blaming fans, I'm just saying if our fan base is calling for the coaches head then you know dam well that our rivals are using that against us. Which just adds another reason to the list for a kid not to choose Tennessee.

Don't be stupid. He's only in his second season and his best player on the team (one the best in the nation) is out for the season. Look at how many young players are playing a lot minutes. Just look at last season, how in the hell did he finish 2nd in the SEC? Even if Pearl wasn't fired everybody knew it was going to be a rough season. If things look this bad next year with Maymon coming back and Hubbs being here then there should be discussions about Cuonzos future at UT. Just calm down and be realistic. GBO!

Cuonzo Martin needs to be fired at the end of THIS season if we do not or barely make the NIT. Its not working folks! This team is nothing more than a bunch of underachieving, weak-minded, bumbling soft tulips! Your star player is more worried about how his headband looks than the number of points he scores! Watch Stokes after a hard-fought lay in...he will go right after that handband and fix it so it looks even lol What a tulip!!

Marin shows no emotion on the sidelines and always comes up with "We need to start doing this more..and we need to start doing that more"....WELL THEN DO IT THEN!!!!! Hes lost this team, Im sorry. I see no improvements whatsoever. This team is EXCRUCIATING to watch anymore. We deserve better UT nation!

This team and program cant afford another season under this clown. Its time Hart man up, pay the man what hes owed and cut your losses. Time to take Hamiltons trash out and never bring the bin back in the garage.

Astounded at such ignorance.

This season's failures can be laid at the feet of both Pearl and Martin. Both brought in players that are not SEC level players. Martin is trying to field a team that just doesn't have the talet necessary to win at this level.
Pearl - Hall, McBee, lopez,
Martin - Yemi, Chevious, Edwards,
and the rest except for McCray, Golden and Stokes are questionable.

It's absolutely absurd to suggest he be fired after this season, however, there needs to be marked improvement next season.

All Bruce did was to bring UT basketball to heights never before realized. Sweet 16 & Final 8 can't be denied. That being said, I hope Cuonzo can pull it together.

all you bruce worshipers do understand that he is the reason UT is in this mess, right?

You're right twice with one statement. Without Bruce, we wouldn't be complaining about losing to start with. He got us used to winning. You're right again because he lied.

However, saying he tore down a program that he pretty much built is awkward.

not really. it's the truth. he blew up the recruiting class. he made UT fire him since he lied to the NCAA. his recruiting was starting to suffer a bit.

Chris Jones and Kevin Ware would be here right now. I'd say they'd have helped. And Tobias Harris was regarded as one of the highest rated recruits to ever come to UT. I hardly think his recruiting was starting to suffer.

I do agree that it is his fault that we aren't winning as much now as we were when he was here, but we weren't winning much before he got here either. So, now it's kinda like he was never here to start with, except we know how it feels to win now, as opposed to before.
