Yes we’re scared to play a team whose best 2 wins were against a Duke team that’s been irrelevant for 2.5 weeks now. They act like we didn’t win the best conference In college baseball 2x while they finished 5th in their conference. We’ve seen teams as good/better than you and won. Including against you and your conference champ.

FSU is playing like it over the last 3 days, but from a yearlong standpoint it was NCSU. Series wins over Duke, Wake, UNC, UVA, Clemson and a 1-1 split with FSU. FSU had 30+ games to show they were the best and they managed to finish 3rd in their division.

Evansville gave us all we wanted and then some. FSU is a different beast altogether. That loss earlier will have them out for blood. I can see them taking 2 straight from us unless we bring our A game.

If this team shows up with a chip on their shoulder, I like our chances against anyone. It's just that one game against one pitcher who's really "on" that day that worries me. Arnold can certainly pull a Beam and have it all come together for that one special game. I've just become conditioned to expect it to happen at the absolute worst of times. We're on the precipice of a truly special season. This is exactly when Lucy pulls the darned football away....again.
