D4H's 2017 College Football Season Preview

No I didnt. I always said he was a liability. I believed in the players and thought they could overcome his incompetence. Obviously I was wrong which is why I know have more appreciation for coaching in college football.

Jeremy Pruitt reminds me of Nick Saban. I think he'll be a great head coach. Something I never said about Butch Jones. I only thought the talent of the Tennessee players was elite. I also had faith in guys like Bob Shoop. We'll find out soon if he was held back by Butch Jones or a fraud himself from the start.

Fine. You were certain that a Butch Jones coached team would win the national title. The difference is trivial.

How about picking Georgia to win the national title in October 1st? When everyone was on the Clemson and Bama train. If I get this right I would say it was very bold. And I stuck with them even after the blowout loss against Auburn when many on here were laughing at my prediction.

I'm pretty confident I'll get the last laugh here.

And if you're wrong you won't admit it.

I picked Georgia after October 1. I always make that distinction.

Yes....for about the 10th time....about 48 hours after you predicted Tennessee would kick their ass.

Anyone with a brain can see you switched because up until that game you were still stressing Tennessee would win the NC, and that UGA loss cemented you were wrong. So you switched to save face instead of just saying "Well I was 100% wrong".

Plus...you're also forgetting you claimed you "always" really thought UGA was going to win the NC all along.

You live and you learn.

Except you clearly don't.

You picked UT to win it all in 2016, and even though you witnessed how badly Butch Jones can botch talent and opportunity, you doubled down that UT would win it all in 2017.

So you didn't learn a damn thing. And don't go with bullsh** "I go with my team/heart over head" garbage, you dismissed ALL those excuses when people were accusing you of being a homer in the preseason. In fact your exact responses were about how everyone will see how smart you are and how great you are at predicting (and of course how you NEVER make excuses).

And here we are....you making more excuses.

Actually I will if it doesn't come true. Just like I was gonna admit I was wrong if Baker Mayfield didn't win the Heisman.

So when you going to admit you were wrong about Tennessee winning the SEC, the NC, having the best defense in the SEC, and Kelly being a Heisman finalist?

Man, you know we are all reading his crap purely for entertainment only, the comedic type at that. He makes about 50 predictions, gets two right, changes some half way down the line (using the Butch can't coach excuse is awesome .. as if that changed from last year to this year), and rides the two he got right like freaking Sea Biscuit in a Thanksgiving parade.

I mean, credibility has been sent through a meat grinder with such statements as:

1. UT will win it all this year (as you pointed out already)
2. UT will have about 7 NFL Pro-Bowlers from the last two years
3. Josh Dobbs will be a Hall of Famer and is one of the best QBs he's ever seen
4. Jalen Hurd in 2015 is every bit as good as Eddie George
5. Joey Bosa has had two years of just getting lucky
6. Corey Davis is the next Jerry Rice
7. Saquon Barkley is the best RB he is ever seen (to be fair, Saquon is very good but he isn't even the best college RB this year .. maybe not even top 5)
8. Kelvin Taylor .. I'll just leave that one there
9. John Kelly Heisman finalist
10. UT will win championships with Pruitt but only have one or two good NFL players

with all that, let's just ride that Kamara/Mayfield train for a while longer

You're somewhat right here. Yes Tennessee getting annihilated put the nail in the coffin in my belief they would win the national title. But you're wrong thinking this was about saving face.

I knew the type of team that would win the national title in 2017. I was trying to fit Tennessee into that spot cause I wanted them to win. After getting knocked into reality that day I realized Georgia fit the narrative of who would win the natty in 2017 than us.

You should know by now I don't care about "saving face" with you guys. I just say what I believe.

Alabama was being called the best defense ever last year and remember Clemson struggled for most of the year last season. They were the clear underdogs. 0bviously there were a few others who picked Clemson. But the overwhelming majority of people were on the Alabama hype train last year.

And this year I was the first to say Georgia would win the national title in October. Most people were still skeptical of Georgia when I picked them to win it all.

Watch as I'm right about Georgia this year like I was about Clemson last year.

Did you really pick them when you had them losing to the worst team in the SEC the week before?

Speaking of bad predictions. Michigan and Notre Dame are two big misses. I remember you touting them as contenders

D4H is usually about 97% wrong on most things. He has claimed Clemson is overrated for the past 2 years. He said the past 2 years, watch what happens when they play Auburn. Lol. His logic on things like great players in the NFL is just pure bipolar idiocy.

Notre Dame was a contender until the last 2 weeks of the season. They started 8-1 and were #3 in the first couple of weeks of the college football playoff poll.

Wouldn't call that a miss. That was a big hit on my part since nobody saw them being that good this season after going 4-8 last year.

Predicts a team to win national title ->

Team has worst season in its history.

That reverse Midas touch is something else. D4H could predict the winning Powerball numbers and somehow every other combination would get pulled.

He seems to be a star gazer to the point he’s blinded by anything else

Probably thinks Clemson’s 15th ranked recruiting classes aren’t good enough lol

I actually really like the fact Dabo refuses to oversign and still is able to compete with any team in the country. Make Clemson a easy team to root for come playoff time

I'll take a break from beating Dobbs4Heisman over the head. In looking at this his predictions here aren't that bad.

A. Notre Dame didn't go 11-1, but they were far more legit and relevant this season than most predicted.

B. Clemson won the ACC and most were predicting FSU to win the ACC this season.

C. Mayfield won the Heisman. He may have been the front runner heading into the season, but usually the winner is someone like Lamar Jackson, Cam Newton, Tim Tebow, etc., that was on no one's radar when the season started.

D. Predicting USC to win the Pac 12 wasn't that special. Getting their final record and one of the two losses predicted in the final record was impressive. Same goes for Oklahoma. Had them 13-0. They were 12-1. They were favored to win the Big 12 I am sure, but I don't know how many thought they'd be this strong with Stoops quitting.

He was off on the Big 10. He was also off on Tennessee prediction and I think it's kind of obvious that was a drunk as hell homer move.

Basically, to be fair, a lot of people have purchased magazines and other publications over the years that were a hell of a lot more wrong than this.
