D4H's 2017 NBA Draft Preview

LOL. That's why I love Lavar. Just dropping bombs on people.

Y'all better get used to him and his talking cause Lonzo is gonna be a SUPERSTAR in the NBA which means Lavar ain't going nowhere. In fact, he'll be even more relevant going forward.

Lavar learned from the best, Donald Trump.

Lonzo may very well be a really good player, but anyone pointing to summer league as proof is foolish. He's being defended by rookies and guys trying to hang on to roster spots. Get back to me when he's getting triple doubles against Beverly, Dre, CP3, etc or legit NBA defenses.

Lonzo's playing style is not really predicated on beating someone or a defense. He's a floor general. He's a distributor. His skill is elite floor vision, passing acumen, and feel for the game. That stuff won't change when he gets on the court with legit NBA players. If anything it'll make him better.

Don't be surprised if Lonzo averages BETTER numbers in the NBA regular season than he did in summer league. Especially when it comes to assists. With actual NBA players alongside him, I wouldn't be surprised if he averages over 10 assists per game.

And beyond individual stats, Lonzo's biggest impact will be in the win/loss column. He is going to the lead the Lakers to the playoffs. He's that transformative of a player.

Lakers are 2 years away from sniffing the playoffs with this core. The Lakers will struggle on defense and closing out games. I'll be surprised if they win over 35. Lonzo looks like a good PG but the talent around him is still not close to the rest of the West

You trying to tell me anything about basketball is super cute, and you are in fact a fool.

They will attract top free agents the next 2 summers. Wouldnt be shocked if they end up with PG and LeBron.

Just for fun:

The Lakers finished last season 14th out of 15 in their conference and 28th out of 30 overall. They finished 15 games behind the #8 seeds from both the Eastern and Western Conferences.

Hence why I said with this core. They could become a contender by adding George and Westbrook but they're not touching the playoffs this year. Skip Bayless and D4H are the only two that believe it

67% from the line last year. And hes supposed to be "King James"

Lmao

You implied you can foul him on purpose as a winning strategy. If you give up 1.34 points per possession, you lose. You don't even want a 55% FT shooter to go to the line if you are the opposition. That's why Coach Cal says it's the 25th most important quality in a player.

Outside of FT's, Kobe was an efficient scorer and a ballhog. I can see why a desperate Lakers fan would put so much emphasis on FT's. I'll take the guy who shot 55% from the field with 9 apg at the age of 32.

No, what I was implying was that in late game situations when they know they are going to be intentionally fouled, they give the ball to Kyrie. The greatest players in the league dont give the ball up in those situations. They demand it.

Im not going to get jnto this arguement that LeBron is better than Kobe, because he's clearly not. Look at the rings.
