Couple of observations from yesterday:
India seems to be the only one with some fire in them.
I continue to be a fan of Steer, in his debut last year he went 2/2, a walk, a double, and a homer. This year in his first opening day start he goes 1/2, a homer, and 2 walks. He puts together some really good ABs. Hope continues into becoming a solid player for us.
Didn't know what we were getting in Fraley when we traded for him but he just seems to hit and get on base.
Wasn't at all impressed with Will Benson after the spring he had. Didn't look comfortable at the plate. Put up a golden sombrero with 4 strikeouts.
I was ready to give up on Barrero last year and still see no reason to change my mind. Can't hit to save his life I would rather go ahead and start the rookies because at least they have upside to them.
Greene will have to keep his emotions in check. After giving up that solo homer and getting a couple of bad spots from the umps he let that inning totally get away from him and made Bell pull him after only 3.1.
