Are compensating for your white guilt again?

If you only knew how funny that is, if you only knew. LOL!

I say we do both: increase criminal penalties for violent offenders and restrict guns.
Ok, restrict how? What specifically needs to be different than how it is today? On the surface it doesn’t sound unreasonable but the devil is always in the details.

And stop DAs from pleading major felonies down to misdemeanors.

The biggest problem with crime in this country is that we lock up minor drug offenders for years and slap the wrists of truly dangerous criminals because they might lead law enforcement to bigger and badder criminals.

So, to summarize, lawyers are the problem. Not the Second Amendment.

I see you as a “like to poke righties to get them stirred up for fun” kind of guy. Both can be true of course.

I'm also generally honest, so if a shoe fits, I admit it's my foot. Something a rightist is incapable of doing.

Some mix of the following:

1) universal background checks;

2) mandatory prison sentences for all gun crimes, including illegal possession;

3) restrict magazine size and make it a significant crime to exceed;

4) waiting period of at least 10 days.

There are already laws for 1 and 2.
3 is nonsense.
4 is reasonable but would not likely have any appreciable impact, as the vast majority of firearm-related deaths do not result from recent purchases.

That doesn't surprise me either. Stupidity is also rampant across the social strata.

You appear to have switched gears from your initial posts in this thread. We should consider all of these acts just as egregious. The root cause is not guns but the myriad of breakdowns and easy access in society. At the center is a lack of core values and mental health.
