So far it sounds like nothing significant happened. If the cops raided every party they would have to shut the university down because it would be a ghost town.

These guys showed bad judgment in not leaving or getting the music turned down. That was about it. Like so much in life, a lot of trouble can be avoided with a little common courtesy, and a modicum of common sense. I am sure other people in the complex needed to sleep for work or to recover from an illness etc...

The coaches or some people on the staff showed up just like they should. There just isn't much to see here.

I wonder though what Jakob thought of it all since he was raised in Germany. It is probably really odd for him to see people arrested for drinking since the drinking age there for public consumption is 14 with parent's permission and 16 without.

Lol. If their was weed present there would of been more charges. Everyone at that party would have got a citation. No way you keep that quite.

Having lived there for a bit, I can tell you that he probably wasnt surprised.

Yea, you can drink, but they are even more strict about loud parties and public intoxication.

You can drink on the sidewalk, but if u are drunk, you stand a chance of getting arrested. And loud parties get ended quick

We were at a house party, inside, with no loud music, just ppl talking and drinking, neighor called, said the noise and lights were keeping her up, it was a weekday, cops came, party over...

I read the transcript and it looks like Jimmy Stanton stated he didn't know if any coaches were there- not a statement that no coaches were there- big difference. It makes sense that some coaches/ ga's would come when players are in trouble. Wouldn't you want that if you were one of these players parents? This stupid incident has become so sensationalized by the news. Now people are probably thinking coaches were there partying with them- common sense logic everybody! Butch may have to have a presser to calm everybody down geesh!!

Butch has his guys listening to the Police Scanner 24/7 ready to put out the fire if needed.

Why is everyone trying to spin this? The facts are eventually going to come out and the truth will be known. The only people who know what happened are the ones that were present at the party.

If this is the case then they need bigger extinguishers or more water. Cause they didn't get a very quick knock down on this one. This has turned into a 2 alarmer.

It's the offseason. This will be news until another University's players do something that is really stupid. If an off campus party with beer (and possibly some weed) is all this is for UT and it's February. We'll be fine. There are a lot more parties and Universities and stupid things to report on before the season starts. We were just the first. This will be forgotten soon.

I can vouch for Bajakian that he was at the 9am Mass Sunday morning all bright-eyed. Seemed to be sans hangover.
