There is natural separation........there is no women on the mens teams and no men on the womens teams.......it is a natural separation. There are no combined public restrooms. There are no combined public locker rooms. Men and Women are different. People like you Butchna are only supporting it being taken away because you feel somehow threatened by the positivity and success the womens teams have enjoyed over the years while the mens teams have been in the dumps. The womens success has nothing to do with the fact we have had bad coaching decisions that have resulted in the mens teams performing poorly. You want to dissolve the womens teams all together because you are still ticked off about title 9.
I've not heard people griping about separate Athletic Departments. They just want the Lady Vols name to remain. In the long run the combining of the two departments didn't save anything. More people work in the AD now than when the two were separate. Other universities did away with the "Lady" moniker because they didn't have a strong brand. It was pointless to keep them. The Lady Vols are a different story. The name is known nationwide and not just for basketball. Go to Cali and ask about Lady Vols and they will probably think you're talking softball. It's a strong brand and Hart is trying to kill it.By this logic, we should also have different facilities maintenance personnel for men's and women's bathrooms. Makes about as much sense.
Thanks for the laugh, though. Yeah, it's just all too threatening to the male psyche, ticked off about title 9, and some kind of revenge for making the male teams look bad. That's it. lol:
And, again, the superiority complex showing through.
It's OK, you can admit it - the women's program IS superior, way better than those jacka$$es on the men's side, and should get your own AD and names and marketing and everything. You should get to spend at your own discretion because money is no object. Just, um, don't make us have to stand on our own financially. We want you to pay for us to look down our noses and sneer at you.
Why again is it that other universities have decided a consolidated AD makes sense and it's only UT that should do this? Oh, I forgot - it's the LADY VOLS and not only are we better than the men's programs at UT, we're better than anyone else in the country, the whole freaking planet, and we DESERVE to be different, to be lauded, and to sniff at everyone else.
lol: lol: lol: lol: lol:

After many years, I'm going to take a break from VolNation for some time now. This Dave Hart thing with the Lady Vols has gotten out of hand and I'm quite frustrated with the whole UTAD, the secret meetings without minutes or notes being taken, and the casual way which the Board of Trustees is not addressing ANY of the issues in the AD.
I won't be back to debate you. This is my last post for 6 months, i just can't take the BS any longer. OH, and I tore up my donation check to the university, they can kiss my ass..
