As a person, Trump is a piece of sh*t.

As a leader, well...this is his leadership. Blame, blame, blame. He is running the WH like he's on a campaign. The implication that this happened because a person of color might be in the ATC tower is abhorrent. 65 dead? Blame the colored person. Know who isn't getting hired for ATC right now? Anyone. Because Trump let his P2025 handlers freeze all hiring, regardless of the personal costs.

In this case, it seems we can hear the ATC doing his job. The idea that some DEI hires caused 65 deaths is BS. That **** plays to political rallies, but as the President, I think he should understand when to shut up.

He could have offered condolences, as would be proper. He could even say he wants to ensure a thorough investigation to prevent it from happening again. Blaming DEI or anyone else for this, 12 hours into it, is just pure Trump jackassery.

DEI covers much more than people of color.

I hate the way he brought this up. Wasn't the time or the place. It's classic Trump though. I have no problem with people finding that video or him disgusting because of it

But to his overarching point I believe he is correct. You want the best candidate period, especially when people lives are on the line. That part I agree with, should never allow yourself or anyone else to limit the candidate pool when searching for the best candidate.

Honest question: how would a +/- 1 week-old hiring freeze have averted this tragedy? I ask, because I am not aware of the onboarding/training that ATCs (especially those at major airports like Reagan International) go through once they are offered and accept a position.

True. He could have offered condolences. Left the podium. Pooped himself. Got cleaned up. Napped the rest of the day. And continued doing nothing for 4 years as our world was at war, our southern border was under invasion, and our daughters were being murdered by violent immigrants. But he’s not Joe Biden. Anyone who keeps track of buisiness sees conspiracies every day....call it "wheeling and dealing", but it's the same idea, men of power will make plans in secret in order to achieve desired results. The weaponization of the word "conspiracy" or "conspiracy theory" can be demonstrably shown to have been a policy and propoganda line by the CIA to squelch questioning the events of the JFK assassination. before that "conspiracy theory" was hardly ever used. Their own documents show this was a tactic to shut people up. hilariously they literally used a conspiracy that is public knowledge now "Operation mocking bird" to push that phrase. You now proudly weild that phrase to deride and mock people questioning a narrative.

I did not actually state anything about a conspiracy here. Rather I posted a topic on the crash as it is news and the very unusaul circumstance, as i think there are valid questions to be asked. My literal statement was to the effect "this seems fishy". Really went out on a limb didn't I? when even the pilot expert on CNN said the same. My real question is why is your natural tendency to mock any questioning of main stream narrative? Why are you annoyed by people finding suspicious circumstances suspicious? What does it matter to you? Why do you feel obligated to attack questioning narrative by a media conglomoration that has for the past decade constantly tried to bend politics and narrative for political gain? Trump actually did both. Did you even watch the news conference? He started with a moment of silence and then offered his condolences and he did promise a thorough investigation to prevent this from happening again. It's almost like you are commenting without evening knowing what Trump said in his speech. Maybe you should see the whole news conference instead of picking parts and pieces that fit your narrative.

Except he didn't just leave it at that and had to say something stupid. All he had to do was offer condolences, start an investigation and be quiet until all the bodies have been recovered. It's what any decent human being would do

Trump has also jumped to a conclusion over the cause of an accident that just occurred, and who/what was to blame. It was unprofessional.
