If we had the same class, but the hits and misses had been less bunched together, people wouldn’t be as upset. They’ve landed the same number of blue chip commits and total commits this year as Alabama.
Saban can’t close!
huh what? I don’t. He was breaking it out by black males which made it look like the representation was closer to the population. So I just pointed out it should just be by black coaches regardless of gender to get the proper %.you are the one playing the demographics game with all the black players in the NFL, but you don't want to recognize that 100% of all NFL players ever are MALE? why would you expect there to be ANY female representation if you are relying on player demographics to make your argument?
It doesn’t. As another poster mentioned it can be fun to watch a white guy ball out at DB too because it’s so rare.I have to admit something. I wouldn’t mind seeing white running backs get a chance, like Mike Alstott and Peyton Hillis. I loved their running style. I hope that doesn’t make me racist
Only if the demographics and math supported that….If white coaches were a vast minority of HCs, then yes.
Stop breaking it out by male/female when all 133 coaches are male.Only if the demographics and math supported that….
There are an estimated 20 million African American males in the USA and a documented 330 million citizens.
That’s a little over 6 percent of population.
There are 133 D1 jobs in football and 15 of the coaches are African American AKA over 11 percent or said another way almost double their demographic representation of the US population.
It’s so lame to punish people either way for their skin tone but this is now a weak argument.
Power 5 math is around 10 percent also higher than 6 percent from my count.
Continued thoughts then I'm done... The frustration that's displayed in this thread isn't a result of Seaton doing what he wants, it's the result of the double standard in America. A white person could never get away with saying something like Seaton did. We're beginning to not even get away with evaluating resumes fairly because of all the D.E.I. stuff imposed upon corporate America. I personally work in an environment where black people and women have an advantage. I work with a pretty rock-solid group of engineers and there are federal contracts I want to pursue, but the feds are only reviewing proposals from DBE firms. I don't care if Jordan Seaton wants to play for a black coach. My frustration runs deeper than that and this recruitment just brings those frustrations to the surface. End rant.
