You really counting that 2021 patch job as a RECRUITING CLASS? What’s being undersold is what this staff can sell without the NCAA uncertainty hanging like a cloud.OL is all Pruitt’s guys or portal. Still early but after three recruiting classes depth chart concerning on staffs ability to bring in OLM difference makers.
Got spooked that he wouldn’t qualify academically…something about a high school math requisite. It was weird. I console myself that Mahoney would’ve most likely wasted his potential and development anyway.Had Orlando Brown committed on signing day too and flipped to OU. Turned into a 1st rounder. It’s just the nature of the beast.
VQ is informative but they also don’t get clicks without dramaWhat’s it matter if they recruited them? You do realize that recruiting is always a gamble right? You can make all the evaluations you want. But once you get a guy here he has to have the want and the attitude to succeed. Maybe some of those guys just don’t have it. You can say they are doing it for clicks but VQ is very informative.

They were all about number 1 being a stud this year and usually name a couple guys a year that they say are can’t miss and we never hear about them
Most these guys VQ is saying suck or heard suck are also 1st and 2nd year guys at a position that doesn’t usually show much unless your a 5 star stud until year 3
The guys at VQ aren’t on a coaching staff for a reason, if they were great talent evaluators they would be on a staff
VQ lost me when they put up articles behind a paywall that come out 2 hours later from many sources for free
There has been another source on the board who insinuated that the staff was hoping for Nichols to contribute this year but just hasn't happened. He is apparently a great kid, who also has interests other than football. Not Lang or Umarov. Both show promise. Not Nichols, either, as he's seen as a guy who is going to be good. Bussell is just a true freshman. I think Clipper, Grant, Johnson, and Reddick need to show something in practice or this offseason.
Feel pretty good here honestly. It’s going to come down to NIL. I mean honestly put yourself in his shoes. Any of those programs can get him to the next level if he puts in the work. I think he gets more nil closer to home and that money goes further here than it does on the west coast.Wonder what it is he's looking for? Money? Coaching? A combination? He'd be a great get, but not feeling strongly that we'll be the pick.
