You can say that again
The VQ guys who aren’t coaches or talent evaluators say they suck so it must be true
Just like when they say 2-3 guys every year are studs and we never hear from them

VQ are drama queens when times are slow
they arent drama queens. they just have wares to peddle, yarns to spin.

I confess I’ve not watched a minute of Miami playing this year. Is he playing at all?
he got beat a couple times against NC this weekend. can't hold it too much against him, at least one of the guys who beat him was a senior who is apparently getting some all-ACC talk. so can't really beat up on Francis too much for not standing up to a good senior all game long.

Be hard to overcome that Ruiz money unless his checks are bouncing
Ruiz is in trouble, his company is crashing and burning to the point he was delisted off the main stock listing, so he’s now doing a 25-1 negative stock split to try to get the price up enough to be listed again. He’s paying out millions in NIL, and his company isn’t making any revenue. He’s had to redo all his taxes and financial paperwork and is under investigation by the SEC and probably the DOJ. I’d bet you see a lot of his “bought” players leaving after the season

Right, which is why I made the suggestion.

time for FMauigoa to pack and head to Knoxville.

and convince JSeaton to pull the trigger for the Vols.

we NEED an upgrade for the future.

Strong waft from VQ that there are several OL that need to move on, and several the staff wishes would.
Not that hard if true. In this era, not renewing a scholarship or at least threatening will be even more common. There is a lot less guilt when a player has the opportunity in the portal to find a new program and play right away.

That said, it seems VQ may be jumping the gun a little. OLs routinely take 2-3 years to be ready to play. I wouldn't doubt that there is someone on the roster that the staff now believes cannot become contributors. Those guys will likely go into the portal during the next cycle.

He has multiple income sources. Idk how much of his money he had rolled into that SPAC and how long he was locked in on the shares. I definitely think he is in a pinch though right now. Wouldn’t surprise me to see him reduce his NIL involvement.

Bout time Sankey and the SEC do something.

Don't be surprised if he ends up being the next Nevin Shaprio for the U.

And Mario better start winning some games and fast or he will be shown the door very soon like FIU did to him years ago. I am very good friends with lots of diehard Cane fans living in Miami for 30 years and they are losing patience with Mario very fast with each loss.

Mario is a great recruiter but he has never proven nothing really as far as coaching even going back to his FIU days. high ranked players can only get you so far. You still have to coach them up and develop them too. Look at Jimbo

Miami is 4-2, and they have several more losses coming up on their schedule.

From an article on his issues…

According to reports, Ruiz's LifeWallet is the “target of federal civil and criminal investigations” led by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida, as well as the FBI and IRS agents.

The report says that SEC investigators are looking into whether LifeWallet represented to investors about its value and other possible security violations. Several people have also been interviewed about the possible violations from Ruiz.

As of now, John Ruiz claims there is no investigation involving him, even though he recently cut off a lot of money going into Miami's sports programs.

And more…Dudes just a new Shapiro

To add to the problems, LifeWallett has also been tanking. The company was once valued at more than $32 billion and was worth more than $10 a share right before it went public. Now, though, their shares are trading for just 22 cents.

With LifeWallet not doing well, there's concern that John Ruiz is facing financial difficulties.

The Miami Herald say that Ruiz and LifeWallett are facing multiple lawsuits. They claim that Ruiz and his company owe millions of dollars to sellers of various businesses they acquired.

John Ruiz has also had to delay paying back people he got loans from as he looks to get more money. All signs point to Ruiz dealing with money issues, especially due to the fact he and LifeWallet are being very selective in what they share and how they operate.

I can definately see Clemson, Florida State and Louisville as losses starting this weekend with Clemson and even Boston College and NC State could be toss ups. Miami has too many homegrown athletes in their own backyard not even needing to leave the area to recruit and lots of speed to be playing like this.

The problem I see continues to be their offense. They have 3 really good WR's and couple decent RB's but QB Van Dyke isn't the answer at QB even though everyone was proping him up as an NFL first rounder and Top 5 QB before the season started. He gets shaken very easily from the games I have seen.

But their safeties FS Kamren Kitchens and SS James Williams 6' 5" are studs. Both could be NFL 1st rounders this draft possibly.

Yeah well until his checks start bouncing I wouldn’t get my hopes up.
