'24 DC OT Jordan Seaton (Future Portal Entry)

Meh maybe but I doubt it. I suspect the staff is gonna hit the portal for OL. I have heard AP and Hubbs say they may take 4-5 in the portal. I don’t think we see a true freshman OL start for Heupels offense.
So far all the big time recruited true freshmen OL we’ve faced this year have not fared well. It’s tough to start on the OL and play well as a true Freshman

We start this week with the biggest fish left on the board and that’s offensive tackle Jordan Seaton. We will continue to reiterate that this one has plenty of more twists and turns but Tennessee is at or in a group at the top in mid-October. We believe Tennessee and Florida are just ahead of Alabama. He is visiting Oregon officially this weekend, and Ohio State is also pushing hard to climb back in this one. He will visit Ohio State and Tennessee officially in the month of November with him coming back to town for the Georgia game.

Nate.Spillman…not Jeremiah.
Jeremiah Seaton is the little brother and also lesser recruited brother of Jordan Seaton.

Nate Spillman is the big brother, but lesser recruited brother, of Edwin Spillman.

Elijah Herring is the big brother, but lesser recruited brother of, Caleb Herring.

I believe he was saying that “who’s to say” Jeremiah Seaton, despite being the lesser recruited brother, won’t become a solid contributor like Elijah Herring, also the lesser recruited brother.

That doesn’t jibe with “Spillman-Herring special” which reads SIGN the older brother to increase chances at landing the highly ranked YOUNGER brother. If that’s what he meant in response? It was kind of confusing, since the opposite dynamic is in effect here.

It could be taken as, we’re offering the younger one to get the older one.

I honestly thought we brought elijah Herring in specifically to get caleb herring here, but elijah turned out to be a really good lb for us so far. Who knows, maybe Spillman could end up being a decent wr, he was under recruited just like Tillman was.

I never got that feeling with Elijah. He wasn't a 4*, but he was a good prospect out of high school. Nate Spillman...I don't see it.

there is no way. unless we are about to run off 3-4 OL already here that weren't already leaving to graduation or NFL.

we have 17 OL who I am guessing are on scholarship. 7 are seniors. 4 of those seniors have eligibility left. so we would have at least 10 returning.

we have 5 committed currently, with Seaton pending, for potentially 6 we are aiming at as Freshman.

4-5 more OL would have us in the double digits for one class. which would end with us having at LEAST 20 OL on the roster. I can't see us making 1/4 of our total scholarship players OL.
AP and Hubbs have said 4-5 OL in the portal. You can disagree if you like but that’s what they said.

We couldn't run the ball against Florida and we couldn't run the ball against Bama (outside of QB run). Being able to run against A&M is was impressive.

We HAVE to get better on the line to compete against elite teams. Hopefully we can close here.
Yep. Seaton would be the final piece to an elite OLine class that would lead to an elite OLine in 2025 and beyond.

They've also said that it's gonna be interesting to see who stays/goes. There's some anticipation that a few may get asked to leave.

We're thin at ol and we need an upgrade in overall talent. Can't address immediate depth needs with freshman.

So yeah I expect the portal to be active on the ol....

Might start Seaton and Warren at tackle. Satterwhite and Anderson at guard and Lang at center.

We're sort of seeming like a dark horse in this one, but man I'd love for this kid to be a Gator and round out this class. McCray was huge, but this has been my most coveted recruit.

You should go tell your jorts buddies this instead of a bunch of people on this board who don’t care.

Hubbs has a family member who works for the university. He’s always been able to get information that others can’t. It wouldn’t surprise me if they do know that.

From listening to their pods, it would surprise me. They don’t seem to know anything unless a recruit tells them directly. They never know anything about personnel.
