Deion Intro Speech

I think Colorado will be a dead end for him and that Colorado will be looking for a new head football coach in December 2026. I think Deion's name and popularity will allow him to rebound from a failure at Colorado but it may be at a HBC or at an FCS school. I think Colorado has become a wasteland like it was from 1978-1984.

thats why I mentioned him going to Colorado……..definitely wasn’t just for the money. He could have went to a lot of places……..with better predictably, made nearly as much or more.

Colorado is literally DEAD.

I think he believes in himself…….maybe too much. We will see.

I just don’t think it’s about $$

You didn't read without bias. I never said Boulder was MORE susceptible for male student athletes getting caught up with curious females looking for a good time, relative to other college towns. Which overtly shows either your bias or lack of reading comprehension. But nevermind. I'll trust the more informed VN'ers to know exactly what I'm talking about, based on the first post where I raised the issue. If you haven't lived it, you are not able to understand what I'm saying. I'm not upset with you. Because I know being explicit about what I'm saying will just blow up the forum. It isn't worth it, and once again, I trust those who know exactly what I mean. Peace out.

You made a comment that could be applied to dozens of college towns, which is why I asked for clarification on what makes Boulder unique.

My apologies for triggering you.

I think at times it can be a very bad thing to have an extreme conceit-extreme self confidence and it can mess you up severely.

There you go, trying to twist a donut into a pretzel. Let's just say the post was obviously not meant for you.

I don’t know Deion personally. I don’t like everything about him that I do know. He is a bit too brash for me.

However if your post is true…….why would he go to Jackson State for 300k a year?
Exactly. Coaching high school football then Jackson State isn’t being about the money. There are plenty of things he could have done to make more money the last few years.

Nope, just trying to get a better understanding of what you meant.
That’s it.

Not a problem. Like I said, the post wasn't meant for you. But there are folks on here who know exactly what I'm talking about. That's all that matters. Peace.

People like Deon have type A personalities. They are drawn toward challenges, pushing boundaries, they tend to have a need to be the center of attention. All due to competitiveness, having a sense of urgency, and a tendency toward workaholism. They're sort of, I gotta be me people.

Boil a conservation down to two radical options… you’re a learned man I see.
I am and make good money. Season ticket holder. You wanna compare. Worked hard. And saying you don't like truth isn't radical. Me saying you are a religious nut who doesn't like truth is radical.

I had no issue with his address to a team that won ONE game this year. Gut it out and be a part of this team and the road to improvement, or get your tail out of here and go somewhere else.

If a player can't take that kind of critique, then you don't want them on your team anyway. They will quit when you need them most.

He’s gonna bring in more good players that Colorado has had in a long time. Transfer portal, players from JSU, and recruiting class. He can turn them around quickly

I don't think so. Facilities appear top notch from the vids I've seen. Boulder is gorgeous and they're about to lose some competition in the LA schools going to the Big 10.

I think he gets recruits up there in droves. Question is, does he have the X's and O's or the coordinators to do something with the talent at this level? Time will tell...

I think he gets recruits as well…….a bunch of them.

However right now and over the past while Colorado is and has certainly been dead.

Truth hurts brother. Or is it your racism. Which is it.

That crap has NO place here.

We are Tennessee fans. We debate, get angry, say crap, and everything in between.

However unless someone was racist…….keep that crap out of here!!!!

If someone is or says something racist, report it (we will all probably report it). Again if not keep that out of here.

It's only cringy for two reasons. One, in today's world folks don't get told the truth. Two, his color makes you feel cringy. I loved it. I love when kids and people are told the truth. They suck, he's not keeping the majority of that team anyways. He is being upfront and telling them that on day one.
Yup if ya watched any of the Jackson State docs when he was there he told players the fans and who ever this is my program I’m gonna do whatever I want with my players and program.
He taught those young black men some of whom never had fathers how to be men and the hard cold truth, and what the world is today.
I respect the man and hope he succeeds tremendously he’s not in it for himself he’s in it for the kids. Some of y’all may laugh at that but it’s true..
