Democrats plan to introduce articles of impeachment as early as Monday

????????
I know Trump broke his promise about "locking her up". It was obvious all along that he would. That was just another way of energizing the mindless.

I was talking more about the previous 15 years.
Of all your moronic posts this one rates as number 1 on stupid posts. It makes absolutely no sense what so ever. When did trump lock her up and what 15 years are you referring to?

So, we are going to start charging politicians with bribery now when they fail to deliver on campaign pledges? Good luck with that.

A president-elect guaranteeing $2K payouts for the right votes is pretty definitive. That's not the same as saying "If you elect me, I will ..."

On the other hand, we definitely should hold candidates accountable for campaign promises. That's one of the reasons we are trillions in debt. In a democracy people can vote money from the treasury. We have to elect people to vote money out of the treasury. When they promise to do that for votes, it is a bribe. If you don't see offers of a direct payout in return for votes as a bribe, then I can't help your with your ethics. You may deserve the government you get; the rest of us don't necessarily want or deserve a government that exists on bribes and payoffs.

If you are speaking in terms of public corruption, then that doesn't meet the definition of a bribe. Bribery involves the offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting of any item of value to influence the actions of an official, or other person, in charge of a public or legal duty. Voting is an option, not a duty. Although some people may refer to voting as a "civic duty", it's still just an option. Nobody is required to vote.

Coercion would be forcing someone to act in a certain way. A bribe is a payment or promise of payment to entice someone to act in a certain way. For example, a juror may be bribed, but the juror still has an opportunity to vote or withhold a vote. If an elected official accepts campaign finances and delivers favorable legislation, that is a bribe and payment. Until we quit dancing around the fact that bribery and payments are part of our system, we aren't going to fix anything.

Again... if you are speaking in terms of a bribe as public corruption then it must involve an act to sway a public or legal duty. Voting is not a legal duty... it's an option. Nobody is required to cast a vote. You will never see a candidate for office charged with bribery, just for making lavish campaign promises.

You don't see that as a problem? An honest platform or proposed agenda is fine unless it is targeted to specific people or groups. Promises of payment in return for a vote aren't legitimate.

For as long as there have been democratic elections held, there have been candidates for office who were making absurd campaign promises that they had no intention of fulfilling. It's not any different than a candidate who insists they will be lowering taxes, but then does just the opposite once in office.

And I have a hard time seeing this as a big deal. It appears as though the next stimulus check will be an amount of $1,400 for households making $150,000 or less. If losing out on $600 is breaking you, then you were already in big financial trouble anyway.

I haven't seen this mentioned on here, but Lindsey Graham suggested that Kamala Harris should be impeached if the republicans retake the house the next election cycle. You can't help but see the irony in this. Tit for tat democrats.

It really is horrible cycle..hate to see it really but cat is outta the bag. So freaking divisive. Not enough to win an election anymore, it is like political vendetta.

Ever wonder why she has been silenced since she became the VP?
Working on her acceptance speech for president? She probably has a coach to teach her to look all sad when Joe is dead.... or thrown out. She ain't sitting back running the senate. This is next phase of the plan

Yep. At least five. Blue states losing seats and red states getting seats. You’re just jelly your dipshit team didn’t win the gerrymandering state house wars. And they massively tried. Hey wasn’t that why you girls hired the Lincoln Project? How’s that working out? 🤣
