I've already put you down as a hard "no", there's no need to keep trying to justify your decision with hypotheticals.

I'm just looking to gauge the willingness of Tennessee residents, to make up the shortfall in federal funding for that Tennessee institutions are going to experience under the administration's cuts.

As you showed us, TN get $1 federal for every $4.75 they send them. Now, if those agencies are being trimmed or eliminated, there'd be no reason to expatriate those $ to DC..

Wasn't it in 2023, TN rendered $95B to the fed and received <$20B, against a state budget of $50B? I know we'd have to fund some things with that spread of $45B, but if you tell me I can keep $3.00 of my $4.75 instead of just $1 AND we can fund our TN institutions, put me down for a 'heck yeah'.

St Jude collects roughly $2B a year from donations. I'm not thinking that the 1% loss will have any significant impact. Donations were at an all time high last year.
