Thank God. Now with this oh so important distraction out of the way we can get on watching how the country is being run into the ground.

So what is the over/under on percentage of Minneapolis that gets burned?

The fact that she yells "Taser, Taser, Taser" right before shooting him and then dropping the gun and saying "Sh*t I just shot him" in a disbelieving tone leads me to believe it was accidental. I think the manslaughter charge will stick though because I can't see how it isn't reckless and negligent use of her weapon.

Defense tried to argue today that the carbon monoxide from the running police cars contributed to Floyd's death.

that's as dumb as it gets. It tells me they are not so confident in the overdose theory...

Exactly but if he's as innocent as he thinks then he should face the music. My guess is that one reason he didn't want to take the stand is because at one point he agreed to plead guilty to a manslaughter charge

That'd make sense. But could he offer anything that wasn't offered already? The prosecution has already asked questions with semantics and not allowed the witness to clarify. It was with the dude that sounds like Jerry from the movie Soul.

George Floyd did get out of his car if you remember. A white EMT begged the cops to let her treat him after identifying herself as an EMT. He died about 5 minutes before Chauvin removed his knee from his neck. She was deemed to be part of the unruly mob of about 6 who 4 or 5 cops with guns were afraid of

I, like most, are on your side of the argument that George Floyd should not have been killed during the arrest being discussed, however you saying "he did get out of the car" is a touch disingenuous.

Not according to the video I saw. He was in his car in the drivers seat and got out. He was in the back seat of a police cruiser and got out

no one crushed a larynx...quit making things up...and it is the same rate.....200 incidents a year out of 4 million encounters...and maybe 15-20 that are actually "questionable" or illegal

I am not a "gun lover", i simply recognize the 2nd Amendment as being a vital part of the US Constitution that I swore to uphold. There is an inherent God-given right to self-defense. And I'd love to "protect mankind" from "rogue" cops, but the problem is that 95% of these cop shootings (which are rare as F) aren't rogue or illegal or unjustified. I also have protected society from rogue felons too and put many a way and they hopefully won't harm any more victims again.

My answer is not to "be submissive" but to simply follow law abiding orders from LEOs if confronted. No one with any amount of IQ believes that punching, kicking, running away from or over an officer in a vehicle is a legit response to being questioned or arrested. Have some emotional intelligence and handle the situation like an actual adult....it goes back to how you are raised, and father figures are important

I said as this trial started and still see it the same way. He will be found guilty of manslaughter and those waiting on the next excuse to burn, loot and murder will pop the cork on their next violent orgy.

Looters should be shot.

Ok, don't know a thing about this. One very important item is ..... was the guy a habitual criminal? I know years ago the guy out in L.A. that finally got took out by the police had an extensive record. That was way past due. The police, out there, should have gotten a medal for that. Instead, the liberal jury rewarded the family for his criminal activity by awarding to them millions of dollars.
