Derek Chauvin trial

Yah idk, justice has been served, everybody should be happy right now
I think everyone is fatigued right now and everyone should go home . This trial was unprecedented in the speediness in which charges were brought against Chauvin following Floyd’s death and the trial was pretty much a slam dunk . I’m already tired of hearing people like AOC saying this isn’t justice... yeah it actually is. And at an unprecedented level at that.

I get tired of the fained outrage from the black community, the liberal left and the MSM everytime something like this happens.

The police isn't going around randomly shooting black folks! These "victims" I use that term very loosely. Everyone of them put theirselves in the position that led to their death. Floyd was on drugs, trespassing and then resisted arrest. The guy the female officer accidentally shot had warrants for robbing two women at gun point. When they tried to arrest him he resisted jumped back in his car trying to flee or get a weapon. The 13yo fleed from police with a gun. Why the hell was a 13yo on the street at all at 2 or 3AM? Let alone with a gun?

Then you have CNN fredo Cuomo saying if more white people get killed by police then something might be done. No, I'll think the same way I did in the above instances, it's a shame they died but they brought it on themselves.

It's been several months since I read Minnesota's third degree definition. I'll have to go back and reread, but at the time, I recall thinking it reasonable. I absolutely think Chauvin did wrong, I'm just not sure how they reached the charges they did based on legal definition.
I’m with you. I thought so as well at first but the more I saw and heard I believe manslaughter was the appropriate charge rather than 3rd degree. That’s a pretty thin line though. To be fair, I didn’t see or hear all of the trial but what I heard was enough to make me reasonably doubt what exactly happened. This reminds me of trying to overturn a call in a football game. Had the standard been they had to prove Chauvin’s innocence I think that would’ve been difficult as well so whoever had the burden of proof should have been at a huge disadvantage in this case. It really does seem as if it was treated like Chauvin was automatically guilty and had to be proven innocent. Also, I didn’t hear all of the defense but it sounded like they got off on some weird tangents. That couldn’t have helped.

You can’t please people who will never be pleased.
Agreed.
I think what the public needs for closure Is for Don Lemon to interview George Zimmerman & OJ Simpson so these two polarizing figures can provide their opinions of how just judicial systems are in this country and the correlation of Chauvin’s verdict today.
