Derrick Henry...New Car.....Bama shenanigans?

Times must be hard or now the boosters are pro-rating by expected contributions to the team

I'd expect better from them. At least an Escalade with some 24" rims

It's been long over due for the Federal and State governments to get involved.

Like I said a while back, I use to be all for LSU self reporting... not anymore. Time for the whole scam to come down, everyone will be better off, oh except for the people getting millions from the scam today.

As for Henry, good for him, maybe someone will get him a house too.

I'm not for the government getting involved. There are very few issues that are improved by government involvement.

But yeah, it's time for the people running college sports to stop pretending that it's 1960.

Nobody likes a proud, self-admitted cheater bubba.

Well, can't say I love big government but I hate big business just as much, which is what this scam is... a big business scam. Treat them like any other entity in the US and I have no huge problem with it... therein lies the problem.

As for Henry, good for him... hope he gets a million in cash.

You know BW if this was the first time I would be like okay no big deal but umm....Dre Kirkpatrick drove a challenger with Dre 21 all over it....Trent Richardson drove a Chevy Tahoe with 26s and he also had two kids....so tell me again just how these Bama players are buying these cars?

Oh and at Tennessee some of our guys don't even have cars....let alone nice ones

This. Dudes are getting paid.

UT does have a guy or two with some suspicious cars, but not like Bama. They've got a long history of it, and honestly I don't really care that the guys get cars cause i'm sure it's happening at a lot of schools, but seriously how dumb or arrogant do you have to be to post it all over social media and then act surprised when there is backlash...

Very similar to Riyahd's car on twitter. He was thinking about upgrading to an Audi too. All according to twitter.

Riyahd had that car before he came to tennessee, you see it in his workout youtube videos, if we're talking about the same car.

Yeah, Riyahd has tons of expensive clothes and shoes, too.

Why he would be the one to be getting a bunch of money, I don't know. He hasn't even played yet.

I still think there is a difference. Having a problem with the system is one thing, and I am willing to bet most on here would agree. I have no problem whatsoever with players taking benefits, but every player at every school should get the same benefits so the playing field is even.

However, like the rules or not, when one team is gaining a competitive advantage by actively and even flaunting rampant cheating, while other teams are playing by the rules (even mostly) then it needs to be stopped. It's to the point where Bama fans are justifying it. It's bordering on absurd at this point.

This isn't Bama hate, this is looking at basic sportsmanship. We can call it conspiracy or not, it doesn't matter, but without the top cover Nick Saban enjoys I doubt they would be getting away with what they are. those who deny this are even more delusional than those fans who say it doesn't go on in some form in their own house.

Big government scams way more than big business. Look at politicans for that.

Call it "justifying" the behavior when I say I'm good with it. I think it's justifiable, so I can't really argue with you.

But you are absolutely trying to justify UT's behavior by saying that Bama does it worse. That's like saying "I may have robbed a liquor store, but that guy robbed a bank." Is what it is, I guess.

I would compare it to robbing a bank vs occasionally snagging an extra candy bar at the register, actually. One is categorically worse and creating a competitive disadvantage.

Carrying this analogy....Let everyone rob a bank is the solution. As it stands, Bama seems to be the only one running out of the bank yelling roll tide because they know the cops will give them a pass.

We spent 17 years on almost uninterrupted probation. We vacated 3 years worth of games for a self-reported violation that the NCAA admitted provided no advantage, and they would never have known about had we stayed silent.

This idea that Bama skates on everything is some serious revisionist history.

Miami was handing out hookers, blow, and abortions and they got less than we did for handing out too many textbooks.
