The only person I am responsible for in this world right now is my daughter, other than her everyone else is on their own. I have friends that do and say things I don't support, but that doesn't make them NOT my friends, that makes them imperfect and responsible for their own actions and words.

I honestly think that comparing this man to neo-Nazis is a bit of a stretch. I doubt Jeremiah Wright is telling his congregation to go kill white people for the greater good.

The only thing I question about that sermon, is why "whitey" is still a problem in this country. It's 150 years later, MOVE ON. I also don't think that we brought 9-11 on ourselves. Still though, doesn't have anything to do with Obama.

Decisions like going into 3 trillion dollar wars for WMDS that have not been found.Wars that have basically destroyed our standing with the rest of the world the kind of wars that get you a permanent 30-35% approval rating in your own country is that the kind of decision making you are talking about.

yes it can. bush's economic policies while not perfect at least kept unemployment at historical lows and the economy in reasonable shape. The iraq war is of course a HUGE mistake and cost a lot of money, but I truly believe that the type of socialism that obama is preaching could negatively affect our lives for generations, not just 10 years. can you imagine if obama does what he wants to do and raises taxes (imagine all the jobs going overseas when he raises the corporate tax rate?) and implements all these spending programs? do you realize how hard it will be to get rid of these programs once we have them (look at welfare and social security which now costs us hundreds of billions)? bush's policies while they have cost us dearly (in american lives and $$$) are not the type of things that could have our grandchildren living in poverty. Obama's are.

edit: and anyway what does how bad bush is doing have to do with obama? it's like saying it's ok to hire a child molestor as your nanny because at least he wasn't as bad as the previous guy who was a serial killer.

I agree 150% with that statement and that is one of the biggest reasons I don't support Obama.

Since we do not have a monarchy the type of legeslation you are speaking of would have to have the support of a large portion of congress( filibuster proof) and if it is not popular with a majority of the American people congress would not have the balls to act on it.The president cannot unilateraly raise or lower taxes they can however unilateraly get us into conflicts.

In light of the votes in late 2002 and early 2003, I would say that GWB in now way "unilaterally" got us into Iraq. Thanks again for the revisionist history lesson.
