What's real simple here is that people who do not support Obama are going to take this a run with it, when it has nothing to do with who Obama really is. Only Obama can answer for that one. Like I said, I DO NOT SUPPORT OBAMA, but the way this entire thing has evolved is nothing short of idiotic. When Obama is proven to be a bigot himself, then I will change my stance. The whole guilty by association thing is something for high school students who don't have an identity.

Please show me one person that has never made a a quesitonable comment that could be considered racist. Even I have done that in the heat of the moment and regretted it later. Does that make me a racist, I hope not, but it does make me imperfect like everyone else out there.

apparently "pure speculation" has a different meaning to you than it does to me. You are a smart guy droski, if you have upwards of 100 advisors, what are the odds that one of them has done something that could hurt your campaign.

i don't think it is out there to expect obama to know that his close advisor has made multiple public speaches on the matter. once again not the same thing as an arrest or something of that matter. if we found out mccain's minister was a member of the KKK wouldn't that been an issue?

Please explain to me how I had a choice in who my relatives are. I must have missed that line because I can guarantee I would have picked a little different. Now explain how I am forced to be close friends with someone.

Obama chose to spend time with this man and they got so close he called him his spiritual advisor. If it was truly his uncle then there might be a difference.

Being a member of a known supremacy group is FAR worse than making what people would consider racist remarks in a church. Both are not right, but I think the KKK member would be more of an issue to me.

these weren't offhand comments. they were speaches. meaning the man wrote them out beforehand. and let's also be clear that wright hasn't come out and said he was wrong.

My point is, we can pick and choose flaws in campaigns, candidates, and advisers all day. In the end, they all have them.

I certainly wouldn't cut all ties. What good would it do me to no longer talk to a person who is in obvious need of help? Would it make me any better of a person to just keep my mouth shut and forget about him?

he is the only candidate with a known one on his staff. If there are others we will surely find them out too.

Correct, we can. The job is to take the information available and pick the best available candidate. A person that is too ignorant to realize his pastor is a bigot OR realizes that he is one but chooses to remain close to this man is not worthy of my vote.

If my best friend joined a hate group tomorrow, I would spend as long as it took to try to help him. The hate rally thing is an interesting question as I believe in order to properly argue a point, you have to have somewhat of an understanding of the other side of it.
