Different camera angle on Pig Fumble. MUST SEE!

Are you still sore about being proven dead wrong and unable to defend your posturing VolSportsFan?

Explain exactly what basis in indisputable evidence exists that Pig lost possession BEFORE the plane.

Explain how fingers and thumb on ball at plane = indisputable proof of lost possession.
Because the replay booth, our own coach, every analyst and moderator that watched the game, our own players, and everyone else with more than 1/2 a brain have said it was...

Unless his thumb and fingers are about a foot long, and he has super glue on his gloves there is absolutely no way he has control of that football

If you're getting into millionths of a second then you're going to start nitpicking things like what a catch is.

For the majority of us, it's clear he has already begun to lose possession before it broke the goal line.

No, and your picture shows hand on ball at chalk with no separation. Touchdown. You must impose your imagination to pretend he lost possession. There is no video evidence of a separation of player and ball until after the plane is touched - much less indisputable evidence. I'm sorry you are so committed to your error, but Facts matter.

Look at the second video then.

That's a touchdown people. Overturning that score is an outrage.

Is the ball separated from Pig's hand at the plane?
What is your basis for claiming indisputable evidence Pig lost possession prior to reaching the plane.

You have none. Nobody does. The video doesn't lie.

I'm done arguing about this with these people. Apparently most of wanted or enjoyed watching the vols get hosed again!

No; because 75% of this site, the replay officials, the coaches, the sports media, and everyone else who matters agrees with the conclusion I arrived at.

But it's funny that the person repeating himself like a crazy person thinks I'm the one that's sore.

Or maybe we're just not blind homers who refuse to let something go.

Nah...that couldn't be it at all.

I was at the game, didn't see the replay until a few minutes ago. I got to say (not that it will change a damn thing) that's not enough evidence to overturn the call on the field.

Watch the friggin play one more time. As the ball crosses the goal line, do you see the wrist flip?? Thats when the ball comes out!

That's what I've been say this whole dang time. No way you can overturn the call with the video shown.

Ask yourself, if that was a Florida RB going into the endZone against UT in overtime, what would you think the call was.

You're seeing what you want to see, because we were so close. But you're wrong, and you're grasping at straws that aren't even there.

OUR OWN COACH CALLED IT A FUMBLE AND THE CORRECT CALL.

I promise, If he thought it was wrong, he would be saying something, the Knoxville media would be up in arms, it would be on sportscenter (even though espn hates us)

But he's not, and it's not happening, because it was 100% a fumble

He clearly starts to lose the ball before that, unless he has super fingers.

I can watch it a million times, and a million times I'll see him losing the ball, i.e. NOT have possession, before it hits the goal line.

Bryan, they were taken in by their initial superficial surface impressions. They saw a fumble and didn't understand that a fumble after touching the plane in the air is a touchdown - not a fumble.

They got committed and entrenched to an indefensible position and their pride won't let them admit the video evidence proves them wrong. Not one of them can give any rational basis to claim the ball was out prior to the goal. It clearly wasn't. They appeal to the ref (circular) and the surface impressions of others who don't know the technical rules. Not one of them can give any rational basis for claiming the ball was out - much less indisputable evidence necessary to overturn the call on the actual on the field.

Don't be discouraged Bryan. You understand the rules and got it correct.

So you think Coach Jones doesn't know the rules then?

Those new gloves might play a role in this. Look at it again. Pig has the ball in his left hand, his glove is silver and looks like light reflecting off the ball. Looks as if it is out of his hand. My son pointed this out to me. What changed my opinion was Pig flicking his wrist and the ball goes immediately down. None of this will change. I'm sick for Pig and the rest of those kids who fought their asses off.

Where his fingers and thumb off the football at the plane??

You have run out of excuses pal. You refuse to answer because you have no basis for your claim - just your imagination.

That's when I see the ball come out, when he flicks the wrist, at which time the ball is in the end zone. I don't know what some of the people see, unless they are looking for an excuse to feel better about the team getting hosed in one more game.

The people calling it a dumb rule are the best.

It is obviously a fumble. This is the only site it's being debated.

I am sure the posters who are arguing we got screwed are the same posters who make fun of other teams boards for having meltdowns after a loss.

Yes I think he knows the rules, but my guess is he doesn't want to blatantly call out the refs or the replay booth.

I think you are dead on. I seriously doubt Butch is stupid enough to believe a football in hand at goal = loss of possession. He and the staff will view this and decide what to do. This is a no-brainer for filing a complaint against the booth official who threw this game with the benefit of video. He knows the rules. He knows that was a TD.

I'm not crying about anything. Just haven't seen enough evidence.

Really, then show us the point where the ball is separated before the plane is touched?

Explain how this is an obvious fumble before the plane was reached. What basis in evidence do you have to make this claim?

I never visit other teams boards. Yes it was clearly a fumble! The question is when the fumble happened. If the ball breaks the plane then the fumble doesn't matter. It is a TD!

The clear replays on tv not some gif were clear as day . It was obvious .

I have seen a lot of dumb things on volnation but this thread takes the cake .

It's why I stay out of the ff usually.
