In those still frames, the white you see on his gloves are not his fingertips. You have to watch the whole video to see this. I agree with the poster above that the tv replay does create an illusion. I don't know if he had it or not, but I can clearly see how the argument can be made. Based on my review after at least 25 times, it appears that his left hand may be cupping the end of the ball. Then, and only then after reaching the plane, does his hand move down and the ball changes to a downward trajectory. If he had lost it at the one, then the ball would most likely not move down again unless he tipped it (which I guess is a theory).
But, people just see the immediate "loss" of the ball at the one and want to end the play. You have to watch the entire motion through the endzone, and you have to watch it a few times. Nothing will change the call, so using personal attacks is kind of ridiculous. Hopefully, we are all grown enough to have a meaningful discussion.
