Different camera angle on Pig Fumble. MUST SEE!

No, the video in the opening post shows him switching hands extending the ball getting hit and then dropping it.

The evidence shows him holding the end of the ball which is immanently possible with the gloves that are now standard equipment for receivers. There are multiple still images showing this grip and the CBS footage shows the grip as well. The ball coming loose does not happen until after the ball hits the plane of the goal line.

At this point it is academic. The team has to move on. But these factors of the evidence are not imagined. They probably are subject to question but they are not outright clear evidence of a fumble, and irrefutable or indisputable evidence which of course is the replay standard. This entire thread has examined the points in detail. I suppose it is unrealistic to point out the details to every drop in that has a need to declare that Pig lost control prior to hitting the plane.

Lol. My god the first video shows from the endzone & sure enough he fumbles. The side angle shows it too & sure enough he loses the ball well before the endzone. Having a finger on the ball is not possession. It looked like he hurled the ball when he extended over a yard out.

If he hurled the ball there would be an image showing him having lost his grip at the plane. None has emerged.

Good luck and go vols.

I guess that gif & video from the side is photoshopped.

I invite you to post a gif or video indisputably shows the loss of an arguable grip on the ball prior to and upon hitting the plane. Everyone understands the ball came loose. The question is when.

Edit: The argument is that the ball was switched to his left hand so that contact with the right hand is not to be expected.

No use, I've been asking for proof, None has emerged.

This is the best view of his left hand that I've found:

Then it shouldn't be too hard to you to find something to advance, but I see you have decided to take the "you guys" approach.

It's obvious no matter what is posted you & your bud will still see what you want to see. I mean clearly the ball is coming out & his fingertip is touching the ball but somehow thats possession. Like I said you & the other dude would be awesome high school officials.

There is a very clear point at the end of the run after the ball has crossed the plane where the ball starts to spin, comes out and the hand opens. This is contrasted to the ball being directed and four fingers and a thumb around the tip of the ball.

I am just looking at what I see. Why you need to put me down I am not sure. As I said. The game is in the books its an academic point based on the visual evidence that has emerged. At first I was amazed that the evidence showed a different story then the one that seemed to be consensus especially with the "indisputable standard." To me its worth advancing in understanding what happened. I think I am close to moving on from defending the view. The argument is well set out in this threat and the "How is that not a TD" thread.

It's even more clear as soon as he dives 2 yards out.

It's going to his left hand.... Show it when it starts to touch the goal line........

He's not going to his left hand he dives with both stretched on the ball & his left just happens to touch the ball last as he immediately starts losing control.

Why? You can see in the second pic that his thumb isn't on the ball anymore just inside half a yard out. I would love for someone to explian how he gripped the ball with just his four non-opposable fingers.

Where is there a rule that states your thumb has to hold on to the football...... I can hold a football with three fingers..... My kid can hold one with three fingers........

Explain how. This should be good...
