Dillon Bates commits to UT

One of my worst memories is that of Hershel Walker running up and down the field at UT his freshman year. It was a long drive home after that game.
I was there for that one too. It seems like Georgia didn't put Walker in until the 2nd half, and we were up 15-0 or so. Is that right?

it must be bittersweet to have gotten to see one of the best players in history play, but have to watch him against the Vols.

That is correct sir! I was 12, sitting in the end zone and saw Herschel come barreling right toward me. I was scared to death but realized Bill Bates was standing in his way, protecting me. After Herschel bulldozed Bates, just the first in a long line of great defenders he did that to, I realized none of us were safe! We lost 16-15 and it was a long ride home back to Atlanta for a heart broken kid. Had the chance to meet H. Walker a few years ago. What a tremendously classy gentleman and still in great shape.

You keep throwing it out there because you're inferring Vol fans are too stupid to catch it....you misspelled feces...back to troll island...scurry scurry

Not soon enough for you...so what physical deficiency does Dillon have?...oh, before I stroke out...we're back in front of Kentucky which was a vital part of your doomsday manifesto...will you allow us to possibly win the National Championship now?

Plus let's just be honest. He's benefiting greatly by having a lot of very good legacy players in this class. Take those out of the equasion and where would our class be ranked right now?

but I agree with you, it's something I've considered

Bates has a LB build already. Hurd is built more like a receiver. He is not built like Jamal Lewis or Eddie George. Those guys were physical specimens. Hurd can run, no doubt, but his highlights do not suggest a power back. Don't take my observations personally. As for my prediction about our recruiting ranking, it is still extremely early, and I still predict a top 15 finish.

Hurd is over 220lbs and runs a 4.3 40. Not a physical specimen? Are you insane?

I mean he is not muscular. Just look at his highlights. Also, there was a recent spring break picture of him on the beach someone posted on this site. He had no upper body definition. If I recall, Jamal Lewis was built like a Greek god (as was Eddie George). His highlights do not show him running over many people. He usually runs around them or through the hole. He does have excellent quick decision-making ability though. Also has very good acceleration. All I'm saying is don't expect him to be a power back who consistently runs through people. He is more of a sprinter.

Put Dooley into the equation and just how many of those "Legacy Recruits" do you think even sign with us? Touche, Douche.

The Opening: RB Jalen Hurd - YouTube

I'm sorry...you were saying something about Hurd not running over many people?

This is probably a more useful video. As you can see, he's playing RB and some WR. 6'4", 222. Sounds about right. As you can see in the video, he has a leaner physique than your prototypical RB. Why are ya'll having a hard time accepting this?
