Just gonna state my beliefs on #2, and I'm going to get blasted for this. But I do not believe that a fetus in utero can be considered a "person" on any sense of the word.

i see what you are saying, but my friend says that's not good enough, that you have to ask for forgiveness, ask Jesus to come into your heart, and then be baptized again. which struck me as odd.

backsliding was ya the ones who wld come to church every now and then, and wld go out say on a fri or sat nite, get hammered and then turn around and be at church on sunday.

My first thought is has nothing to do with salvation and my second thought would be it is a symbol of faith.

I have never heard a CoC believe that they would need to be baptized multiple times. I have seen people believe that they were originally baptized for the wrong reasons and they feel the urge to be baptized again, but not because they have new sin in their lives.

In a way, and this sounds horrible, but yes.

The fetus cannot survive without the nutrients of the host being (mother).

My biggest thing, and this is the right's way of demonizing my views, is I am NOT pro-abortion, I am pro choice, as I am a male, and have absolutely no say in what a woman does with her body.

But the baby is equally yours so you should have some say. So can't tell the mother what to do with her body but you can do what you want with the fetus's body?

Like I said I am a freedom loving mother trucker and I struggle with abortion.

This is the only thing that I would struggle with. It is just as much your child as it is hers.

I'm generalizing. Plus, until birth, the fetus is part of the woman's body in my eyes.

oh i'm the same way trust me. i use to be that guy, then when i went to college i quit goin to church all together but was still hanging out w/ my best friends jack and jim. to be honest i haven't been to church on a reg. basis in 7 and a half yrs. this past year God was trying to tell me something, i mean he wouldn't leave me alone about it. i doubted my salvation, i started going to church and the whole time i was there he would be tugging on me, it drove me completely insane. over christmas holiday i went home, and my best friends dad is a minister. ended up talking to him one nite when i went over to hang out w/ my friend. funny how God works. we were down stairs, me, my best friend, and his dad watching a movie, and my friend went upstairs to get a drink. God started tugging on me to go and talk to his dad. I sat there for what seemed like eternity and didn't do it, but it was like 10 mins then i finally said ok, i'll do it. talk to his dad got everything straightened out, and now i'm currently looking for a church, and i think i've found one that i like. been trying to do a bible study every nite, and i pray several times thru out the day.

Right, and your brat and potatoes had nothing to do with it?

This is a great one for men, no responsibility with childbirth or taking care of the mother during pregnancy!

I am going to go home and slap my wife!

I should have been more specific, I believe in evolution but there is a point at which I believe it starts to unravel.

That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that, regardless of my feelings or influence, a woman will ultimately do what she chooses and while my opinion may influence that decision, it is entirely hers. I'm not promoting machismo or anything like that, just stating what I view as reality. I can't physically make a womans decision.
