Great argument. Guess I should have just originally said that I believe in God, so your questions over how its a choice are meaningless to me.
I don't mean this in a smart ace way but nothing will convince you so what difference does it make if scripture is used?
I actually had mistakenly thought that he had quoted scripture, when he didn't explicitly do that.
That being said, I didn't say that nothing would convince me, but scripture is certainly not amongst the things that will. If it is aimed at someone else, that's cool, but when it is aimed at me it's not going to further anyone's argument.
But their partners in many cases do.
I have two friends that break this mold off the top of my head. My friend Nora, who is gay, and quite attractive might I add, tends to date girls that are just as "girly" and just as attractive.
On the other hand, her roomate, Amy is what would be considered to be "butch" and her partners tend to be "butch" as well.
I know there are exceptions to every rule, but I hang out in predominantly gay area of Jacksonville, and frankly, that seems to be the trend here.
There are people born in this world that are pure evil. People that have no conscience. It has been proven to have very much to do with the anatomy and genetics of the person. Why would God create a killer, then?
That's cool. At what point did you decide there was no God? A book, social factors or just felt that way?
It isn't your fault you grew up in the "cradle" of every "holiness movement" in the last century.
I've spent time in Wilmore...and I believe you.
Just curious, but was it proven by the same people that say gays don't have a choice? If so, the argument doesn't apply here, because that is the fact that we are disputing. Not being smart, just making an observation.
No. You said god wouldn't create a person who is made to commit a sin. I'm just showing you that some people are.
Explain further!
If he's anything like me, it was while looking for a church and realizing the every church has their own agenda. I personally came to the conclusion that their "worship" wasn't that of a greater being, but that of a fatter wallet.
