Is it not at least weird that the majority of lesbian couples have one of the partners that looks like a 12 year-old boy or kind of like a guy?

Also I would think the way many gay men act, talk and dress is not natural (even if they are attracted to men) but rather playing of social patterns of gay men in pop culture. The majority talk with that lisp, walk the same dress the same etc. like they are playing a character on TV.

I don't think that is necessarily true. Almost every gay man that I know personally is nothing like you describe.

The people you speak of are certainly the most recognizable, and generally the most open about their sexuality.

When I used to bartend, I'd see gay dudes that could whip my ass any day of the week. Ex-Armed Forces, work out guru's, etc. I had one regular that dressed like Al Borland with hiking boots and all.

The only ones you see may be that kind. Sweeping generalizations, like the one you just made, usually aren't very accurate.

assumed genes were the determining factor in who you were as a person. and I guess I also never could understand how 2 straight people could produce a born-gay person.

Just wanted to add that a good number of gay men consider the "flamers" to be a complete joke and hardly give them the time of day.

one of my best friend's borthers is gay and is nothing like you described.
however, the male in the lesbian couple that I know, does look more like a man than the other.

Every time a gay discussion is brought up, even if it was in context of some guy from the Harvey Milk movie going overboard on stage, which I could see happening, it always turns into Bible this, Bible that, genes, choice, born gay, not born gay.

It can never stay within the context of the original topic.

I just find the whole discussion stupid.

There are people born in this world that are pure evil. People that have no conscience. It has been proven to have very much to do with the anatomy and genetics of the person. Why would God create a killer, then?

That's what I guess I'm getting at. The media, pop culture and fringe groups on both sides have played into the stereotypes to the point it is very tough to find any middle ground.

One can't be a killer without action. One can't be an addict without action. Read the post I had on the previous page about people being taken over by the desires of their flesh.

I have friends that after taking their first drink of alcohol being addicted to it. I however have never had that issue luckily. My uncle was a meth addict and died in prison because of it. He didn't start his life as an addict. He gave Satan a foothold on his life and was overtaken by it.

Same argument I will always throw out there, how many of you made the conscious decision to be straight? I am pretty sure that one day my love of women just clicked. I didn't look at a penis and a vagina and mull over it.

all i know is the majority of gay people i know showed signs of basically being like the opposite sex well before they hit puberty.

How is that not believable? When I was younger I smoked weed once with a bunch of my friends and never tried it again. One of my closest friends got to the point where he couldn't stop and it was affecting his life a great deal.

Same thing with alcohol. He drank every single night for years but now can't drink because he can't stop himself.

Hell, I used to go to a gay bar with a girl I dated a few years ago. Neither of us ever paid for a drink, and she told every man that bought us drinks that we were straight and didn't like to share.

Gay dude used to come into the bar and when me and my friend from school were bartending he'd drop anywhere from 100-150 on the tip. He knew very early in the game that we were both straight as arrows.
