You could have voted for Jorgensen. Or left the box unchecked. All of that time that you’ve spent on here professing your hatred of Trump. Did you take any time and write the FEC about the laws that left us with two goat rope candidates? Did you once complain about only two candidates debated even though a 3rd party candidate got nearly 5 million votes? If all you did was vote for Biden because Orange Man Bad, then you’re not part of any solution.

All wokeness is is alertness to injustice in society. You're taking a smalland extreme component observed by some who claim woke and ascribing it to everybody who is claiming to be alert to injustice.

It'd be like somebody on the left saying MAGA republicanism is about putting politics over people. Yeah, some of that is going on but it's BS to say that what this broad concept is.

I was part of the solution of ensuring Trump did not win. I voted for the only viable candidate who was not Trump. Anything less would have been unconscionable.

I would have been happy if he was removed from office the first day. Biden had only one job - beat Trump.
And it's working out just fine. I've actually been pleasantly surprised at how well Biden has done. I never dreamed he would last 2 years.

Again, some woke people have a definition of 120 genders. Wokeness isn't about defining how many genders there are. Stop conflating every idea you don't like with wokeness. The only thing wokeness certainly implies with regard to gender is that injustice happens based on gender. Plenty of woke people don't accept 120 genders.

Well, the primary definition there backs up my definition and the secondary definition accommodates the way conservatives use it as a pejorative for all things liberal that they don't like, which is what I've been saying all along. Thanks for backing me up on everything.

It divides instead of unifying. It is blaming the children for the sins of the fathers. And it is continuously ripping the scab off of old wounds.
it is the weaponization of division in the service of raw political power. It is Marxism replacing class with race. And it destroys whatever it touches.

Within the decade of the 2010s, the word woke (the colloquial, passively voiced past participle of wake) obtained the meaning 'politically and socially aware' among BLM activists.

Outrageous hyperbole. Republicans use 'woke' the way Democrats used to use 'woke' merely a few years ago. It is just such an idiotic and indefensible theology that it was very easily coopted and turned into a pejorative.

And I've only seen critics of wokeness refer to it in the context of intersectionality and the perceived oppression related. So if you think that entails "all things liberal" then you're admitting that liberalism has been reduced to the intersectionality/oppression paradigm. I wouldn't blame you for believing that. The liberals seem very quick to jettison any dissenters of this ideology from their club.

Oh yeah? There's lots of room under the umbrella for liberals who don't believe men can be women? Or that don't believe in white privilege? Or who favor a law banning drag for kids? I don't think so. Anyone who adopts those stances will be labeled some sort of 'phobe' and thrown into the basket with all the other deplorables. "No liberalism for you!"

You're simply wrong. Sure there are the extremes who might feel that way, but not the party as a whole, and certainly not the figurehead of the party.............now republicans on the other hand. lol

I have never heard anybody on the left explain that wokeness is about putting group over individual. This thread has all the evidence you need.

I disagree with their definition. I have never heard a liberal who is arguing for tighter safety regulations or union protections being described as woke. They are called woke when they try to get rid of testing standards based on racial differences in scores. Unless you think think that the liberal platform is purely identity politics, you can't claim that the invocation of 'woke' is a pejorative for "all things liberal".
