Disney: The Most Evil Business In The World

The Disney fight doesn't matter that much but why and how DeSantis is handling it is the major concern. How these guys view the role of government is everything, and RD thinks it's his personal vehicle for running over those who oppose him.

Let's tack on 4 more years of terrible presidents. WTF cares, right?

The next four years are important at the appropriate time IMO, however, there should be a greater emphasis on the issues with the current admin. Let's be honest, it is a giant $hit show. I have no idea if the next POTUS is going to be Desantis, Biden, Trump, Kamala, or some one unforeseen.

The left does a great job of keeping the heat off biden/harris. They are all about Trump and now Desantis which keep the focus off the current disastrous regime

So ??? That makes him less culpable? Uhhh ... No.

You are trying to deflect to something completely unrelated. I didn't like what Biden did with the vaccine mandates either ... but we are talking about entirely different things.
Yes it does. It was done the way it should be done and not an attempt to usurp power via unconstitutional means like Biden with the vax mandate. I think that matters.

Your example is inconsequential since it was voted by the legislative branch. Not an EO. If it was an EO, I'm with you.

I believe DeSantis believes that in order to win the republican nomination he has to attract the lowest common denominator away from Trump, and he is obviously willing to hurt his own state in the process.
Trump built his base with petty, culture war-chicken fights. It is what his MAGA base refers to as "fighting back."

However, Trump seemed to have a political sense for which lines couldn't be crossed. Trump never did anything this extreme. This fight with Disney is starting to make Ron DeSantis appear irrational.

Trump drew sharpie lines on weather forecast maps to win fights with The National Weather Service ... DeSantis wants to build a prison which would be of nothing but detriment to Orlando. They are both idiots ... but incredibly, Trump actually seems less dangerous now.

Did he sign it or not?

Did he sign it or not?
A bill PASSED by the legislative branch then to his desk? Yes. I'm not surprised that you don't see how it's different. It went through the necessary process. We, as Floridians, should look at the legislature for accountability on that. Without them passing it, it doesn't happen.

So, the law is not a bad law as it keeps teaching sexual orientation and gender identity to kindergarten-3rd graders.
Disney has the right to protest this law which is now state law.
For decades, Disney has gotten special treatment from the state and it is being revoked making sure of a fair playing field with no special treatment. That is a good thing, correct?

You knew it was coming "DeSantis is more dangerous than Trump"
The lengths to which Ron DeSantis seems willing to go in his petty fight with Disney are starting to worry some Republicans as well. DeSantis needs to be able to identify when something has been carried too far. It's not clear that he has that political sense.

It is, take off the blinders and really look at DeSantis' actions.
What executive actions have you in a tizzy?

Vax mandate - legislature
Disney - legislature
School library - legislature

You constantly dare luther or LG to go through the proper channels of amending the constitution in regards to the 2a. Is that just an empty dare?

That is not correct.

You all are very predictable. Once Trump and DeSantis are in the past you all will then be saying "X candidate is more dangerous than Trump or DeSantis" That same candidate will be racist, sexist and homophobic.

We will disagree all day on this but neither of us will change the others mind.

He's threatening one of if not the biggest employers in the state and the people of Orlando with a prison if he doesn't get his way. How is that any different than the guy we have in the WH now?

He's smiling while saying it. Relax.

It was rhetoric and one of the suggestions that citizens sent him. Shouldn't have said it, but he isn't going to build a prison.

Ever hear the word "Veto"? An executive is supposed to veto bullshat legislation if it gets to his desk, actually with his party in control of the legislature it shouldn't even get to his desk. If at any point while these bills were going through the FL legislature had he let the legislatures leaders know he wasn't signing them they would have died a quiet death. He wanted these bills.

It was just rhetoric in a speech.
