I agree the tournament should be the a minimum requirement starting in year 3, but he overachieved his first year and probably even last year.

I gave my opinion and you can't handle it. Add another stat kid to the list that doesn't understand the game or the need to look at the future of the program.

If we can make it to the tourney and cm is still gone, then 100% yes of course. If going to the tourney and losing in round 1 means cm is staying, I don't want it.

I had friends opening rooting against Wyoming vs Tennessee because they wanted Fulmer gone. I wanted Fulmer gone as much as the next guy but how can anyone say that loss was good for the program?

They were pulling against UT all year including hoping that we would lose that game. He happened to step down right before that game.

The "true fan" card? Is that like the "lack of understanding" card?

I don't think anyone lacks understanding of why some choose to root against the Vols. I certainly get it. I'm just saying it's misplaced and flies in the face of what one should expect from a fan - outside of some warped definition of the term. There's zero certainty that missing the tournament will be good for the program or that Cuonzo will get retained by making it, for that matter.

It may be a long time before Tennessee reaches the tournament again, even if we do have a new coach next year. So I'll take my chances now and hope that we can enjoy some tournament action this year.
