Dobbs switches to legendary jersey number...

Please tell me which high pressure game or last minute drive game winning drive Bray was apart of? I would take Casey's arm and mobility with Ainge's accuracy and decision making.

If bray had played on the teams that clausen did there wouldn't have been a need for game winning drives, because we would be ahead by 3 tds by the start of the 4th quarter.
Bray had a better arm and better accuracy he just didn't play on a good team. Clausen played on superior teams, but his skills can't compare to Ainge or Bray.

He was so cool under pressure... I always liked Casey just for beating gators in the swamp twice. I had no idea he was 14-1 on the road!!! That's amazing... he was a great QB!

I would take bray and hunter over most duos in tennessee history. You dont need a closer if you can score 45 points and have a solid defense

Uhm, I clearly remember 4 or 5 potential game winning drives that Bray collapsed. Starting his freshmen year in the bowl game. Don't act like Bray didn't have a supporting cast. He did.

Casy was a gret QB, but ha he played on last year's team, the results would have been the same...a QB can't fix a bad defense and Bray was much better than he gets credit for...

I don't know, man. You sound pretty butthurt to me, and no, I don't "understand how stupid it was", since it was a mere pointing out of facts.

Since I strongly doubt Butch Jones has built his career by throwing 180-pound freshmen quarterbacks in against the No. 2 team in the country without the correct padding, the facts observed in the picture lead me to believe Dobbs was indeed penciled in at 3rd string for Oregon.

You can believe otherwise if you'd like, but you seem to be reacting awfully strongly to an opinion on a message board. Are you sure you're not related to Ferguson or something? Maybe even personally invested, just a little bit?

I couldn't care less which QB is better. Your post was dumb. That is all I am saying.

Just like this post about Dobbs' scout team jersey is dumb. The pads they wear is just personal preference. Aside from that, I highly doubt there were not enough pads to go around.

But hey, believe what you want. I really don't care. Your post was dumb.

Here is Manning without QB armor pads.

. Robinson would have likely won the Heisman his senior year had he not torn his knee against Bama.
I can only laugh when I see nonsense like this. We have some true all time greats in UT history, no point in fabricating one that wasn't there.

Robinson was a good QB, hardly a great one.

And a likely Heisman winner? :lolabove:

What I am saying is that if Tyler bray had played on a team that had a great defense( like the ones Casey clausen played on) he would won more games. He was a better qb than clausen period. He might not of won as many games but his talent level was head and shoulders above clausen. You should never loose a football game when you score more than 30 points. That happened to Bray quite a bit. Don't hate on Bray because of the inadequate defense we put on the field last year. With an average defense he would've won atlleast 10 games last year.

Having more talent does not necessarily make you a better quarterback.

Casey may not have had a rocket arm, but he was clutch. I have never understood how people underestimate the difficulty in some of the road victories we had with the Iceman.

Casey the "Iceman" could probably help coach our current QB's in to something other than frozen pop sickles. The two we have seen so far look scared to death, you gotta have the swagger to play field general

ok who do u think are the top 5 duos in ut history

First Hunter probably does deserve to be apart of this list, but his time here was really sadly too short....But the reason the numbers are so good was just because how one dimensional the team was.....Consider how Peyton for instance has multiple receivers up there in the ranks....or How Tee and Price racked it up even while we were owning the run with Travis Henry.

Bray's mistakes, are a big part of why I don't think I would put him in the top 5

Some ones I like better

Tee Martin and Peerless Price
Peerless's numbers are more impressive when you consider how much we ran and ran well with Henry.

Clausen and Stalworth
Clausen just owns Bray not even close. best since Peyton, and arguably better then Peyton on the road.

Manning and Joey Kent
no need to speak on this.

Ainge and Meachem
Meachem maybe weights this as Ainge could have been better at times, but man they racked up some numbers.

Tony Robinson and Tim McGee
McGee was just an awesome sight to behold AFTER the reception.

Kelly and Harper
Harper is just one of the all time great recievers, and Kelly was always GREAT in the 4th quarter as opposed to rolling over.

To me Bray was too weak over all...he had talent to be one of the best ever...but not the maturity or discipline to match. Hoping he fixes that and sees success in the NFL.
