Two of the greatest Qb's to play at Tennessee have wore this number Holloway and Casey Clausen. Ferguson is stuck wearing Erik Ainge's Number. While this really doesn't mean much it is interesting a to why dobbs suddenly switched numbers...

Tony Robinson and Bobby Scott both wore #10. Bobby Scott went 22-2 as a starter at UT. Robinson would have likely won the Heisman his senior year had he not torn his knee against Bama. He also graced the cover of SI after a national television stomping of top ranked Auburn, featuring the great Bo Jackso.

Might do you well to do some research. When I think of people who wore #10, Eric Ainge is the last person on my mind

I liked Casey and I do believe he was an above average QB. Not because of his physical abilities but because of his heart, pride and his knowledge. The only time I was really disappointed with him was the FL game at TN when he fumbled several times at the end of the first have with our end zone at his back. It was pouring the rain so that did play a part.
I watched him work out for NFL scouts in the sports complex after his Sr. year. He certainly didn't have all that strong of an arm or the greatest quickness, etc. BUT, when the lights came on and the game was being played he gave all he had. He truly was the west coast gun slinger that had no fear.

He had the circus clown feet for sure. Size 15 cleat. But he could play. He destroyed Michigan.

if we don't have tee, we don't win it either

StopTheHate.....ItSoundsRidiculous

I personally would take Casey...but to your point, we certainly don"t beat Syracuse in the opener without Tee. Maybe it's just good fortune that we had both of them as UT QB's.

The true reason Casey got on some people's nerves was because he spoke "Gangster Rapper" when he got here. Nothing gets on Vol fan nerves more than a white blonde from California trying to be hard. He and Andy Kelly are my favorite QB's to come to UT, though. Yes, I love Peyton and Tee, too, but Andy and Casey were my favorites.

Disagree. Clausen was a slightly above average quarterback that was playing on some tremendously talented teams. I would take Tyler Bray, or Eric Ainge over him.

Please tell me which high pressure game or last minute drive game winning drive Bray was apart of? I would take Casey's arm and mobility with Ainge's accuracy and decision making.

Yes, Clausen deserves to be next to Holloway, Look at what Clausen has done, Without him we would still be trying to get a win in gainesville for the 1st time since the 1970's he brought us some of the last great memories we have, ainge brought us the one's after clausen and that was only 1 season were clausen brought us 3 seasons worth. 2002 was the worst of the 3 but still had some memorable games.
If you think Casey, while I really liked what he did, is on the same level as Condredge Holloway you are either young or don't know too much about Tennessee football.

Was never butthurt. I just pointed out it was dumb. Along with everyone else who responded to it.

Understand how stupid that post was yet?

I don't know, man. You sound pretty butthurt to me, and no, I don't "understand how stupid it was", since it was a mere pointing out of facts.

Since I strongly doubt Butch Jones has built his career by throwing 180-pound freshmen quarterbacks in against the No. 2 team in the country without the correct padding, the facts observed in the picture lead me to believe Dobbs was indeed penciled in at 3rd string for Oregon.

You can believe otherwise if you'd like, but you seem to be reacting awfully strongly to an opinion on a message board. Are you sure you're not related to Ferguson or something? Maybe even personally invested, just a little bit?

Casey Clausen was a great quarterback at Tennessee?? Did Miss something??

Undefeated against Bama. Won 2 at Florida. If he had not followed Manning here he would be perceived as the greatest QB in UT history.

But your attitude, and that of many fans, is a reason for a good QB to look for another school besides UT.
