Does anybody else miss Bruce Pearl?

In all honesty, Maymon looked like garbage in the time he did receive last year. His decision-making was questionable at best. He shot the ball nearly every time he touched it and was less than accurate.
Hard to be consistent playing in 14 games averaging 9 minutes per game. Oh well, he's definitely a different player this year.

Dwight Miller definitely agrees. I'm with ya, given his minutes to shine, Maymon has run with it. He's a man.

With the SEC and NCAA tourney's just ahead, it's disappointing that we don't have Bruce Pearl at the helm. If Pearl had stayed we would have had Scotty Hopson, and he would have been a factor. While Coach Martin is doing his best ... it just isn't the same.

The reason I don't miss him is this is the first Tennessee team I've seen in awhile that has actually overachieved from an athletic standpoint.

Considering Bruce was 6 for 6 for NCAA tourney appearances while Cuonzo is about to be 0 for 1 is seems very clear that the OP was being serious. Are you trolling?

It's really a moot point, because they couldn't have kept Pearl under the circumstances. It's not like they fired him for not winning. Had they kept him, with sanctions, we might be better this season, if Hopson and/or Tobias would have stayed. But, the future would be worse, because the staff wouldn't be able to contact recruits.

Yeah, I miss the times of being an NCAA lock by the final couple of games, but the prior staff gave hamburgers and hot dogs to a couple of minors. (partial sarcasm)

I would assume a guy named "Bearbryant" wouldn't miss him.
The name is not why I don't miss him!! I have 3 relati ves on the Wall of Fame at UT!!! Been UT fan all my life!!!

Just sick of Pearl's loud mouth and he really wasn't a great coach. Motivator yes, coach no. Pearl would not likely ever bring a final 4 to UT.
Counzo will!!

No. CCM is a way better on the court coach. Bruce was more of an advertisor and recruiter, and over time wins will take care of that part for Cuonzo. I am really happy to have Coach Martin here and think he is doing a great job.

I can see where the OP is coming from, you guys had a NCAAT birth every year with Pearl.

But, there is no reason to dwell on the past, Cuonzo has done a great job with this program especially after losing Scotty and Tobias. You all will finish no worse than 5th and you were predicted to finish 12th, that is due to coaching in my opinion. Cuonzo will get you guys back, he is a good coach and an even better person and he is someone I would want my son to play for.

Looking forward to Saturday

R u guys really serious? He was only the most successful men's ball coach we have had. I would take pearl back n a minute. I would have taken the punishment for a couple year ban from the tourney rather than just not being competitive enough not to make it. Pearl made it every year. U guys have no clue and I would take his class over the idiots bashing him here. He is still seen around campus supporting the vols with no paycheck.
