With the SEC and NCAA tourney's just ahead, it's disappointing that we don't have Bruce Pearl at the helm. If Pearl had stayed we would have had Scotty Hopson, and he would have been a factor. While Coach Martin is doing his best ... it just isn't the same.

I can't even begin to laugh at the absurdity of this thought.

R u guys really serious? He was only the most successful men's ball coach we have had. I would take pearl back n a minute. I would have taken the punishment for a couple year ban from the tourney rather than just not being competitive enough not to make it. Pearl made it every year. U guys have no clue and I would take his class over the idiots bashing him here. He is still seen around campus supporting the vols with no paycheck.

What an idiotic post...

We have to move on, fair enough. But the amount of Bruce hate on this thread is alarming. He brought us back from the dead, easily most of the greatest moments in history took place with Bruce. The list goes on and on and on and on. Yes, he messed up, and deserved to be fired, but it's as if you people think that the Michigan game is all that mattered, which I still blame some on on Hamilton for releasing that AS THE PLAYERS WERE HEADED TO CHARLOTTE. Bruce brought everything back, where's the respect. I'm on board with Cuonzo, but that doesn't mean, in my opinion, I don't miss the most successful coach this school has ever seen in Men's basketball

Considering Bruce was 6 for 6 for NCAA tourney appearances while Cuonzo is about to be 0 for 1 is seems very clear that the OP was being serious. Are you trolling?

Bruce was good for UT, but he messed it all up. He got the NCAA involved. Yes it was for a stupid reason, but it's still his fault. I liked Bruce, but I don't miss him. I choose to back the current coach.

He lied, yes, but the violations weren't like people cheating on SAT's or getting handed money. You people are looking back on Steven Pearl playing too much and one tournament game...sheesh.

You make a good point. Whatever happened at Florida State. Over 65 athletes in multiple sports were cheating on test. What was the penalty. I don't remember.

I haven't actually seen anyone "hating" on Pearl in this thread. I guess in your world, if you don't love someone then it means you hate them.

By the way, that's possibly the worst collection of favorite teams I've seen in my life. :p

This is probably my favorite tennessee team in 10 yrs. These guys have grown in their own game and as a unit. Seeing "swiperboy" on the bench and Kenny Hall out indefinitely, while the 2 star athletes are getting playing time and giving their all for Tennessee makes mr feel good.
I said it's great to be a Tennessee Vol!!!!

Which is more idiotic? The post that states facts supporting the opinion or the post or your ramble.

What facts? That you want to keep a coach with a show-cause when the statistics show that a vast majority do not return to prominence? Nice "facts" there and your definition of a ramble is humorous.

Like I said, your post was uninformed and idiotic...

You can't rationalize, excuse, or gloss over a three year show cause penalty. His violations were very serious. I hate the violations, but I like the coach.
