Dooley sucks (merged)

Please sheep why is he a good coach? Please...

I'm begging you for a response....

I get that he's a good politician and he's won a lot of people over with his personality, but F this guy...we've made him a guaranteed millionaire several times over...We don't owe him a damn thing.

The sheep are addicted to a loser, but why?

And you're obviously addicted to the word sheep and smoking crack

Ironic that 2 posters agreeing with each other itt both have low post counts and both have handles with Chicago ties.

So if you were the AD at Duke you would have fired Coach K after his 2nd year and then if you moved on to be the AD at Mich St you would have fired Nick Saban. Then after that you would have been the AD at LSU and NOT hired Les Miles from OSU.

Brilliant!

Why because I don't think its too much to ask to have a good coach at UT...This is UT...

Tell me why he's a good coach?

no one in this thread will answer that question....And there's a reason for that, because he's a horrible coach.

\

No one knows

He hasnt had time to rebuild the team yet

A bridge is not complete to you reach the other side. You dont stop building when you have reached halfway, only to wonder why you can never reach the other side

Yea!! I just said that

These are all your words and none of mine.

And for the record a couple isolated incidents don't mean **** to me...

Tell me why Dooley is a good coach, no one here can...can you?

I doubt it, sheep.

Why do the sheep have so much optimism with this time-tested losing machine we call the coaching carousel?
FYP.

What data is there to point to that says 'just give him time'?
None other than that had by Saban when hired by LSU, Richt when hired by UGA, Muschamp when hired by UF, Franklin when hired by Vandy, Chizik when hired by Auburn...

I don't want to give him time because I blindly believe that he's "the guy" and is certain to take UT into a glorious run of champiohships. Rather than rewriting everything... you can find my basic reason for wanting everyone to shut up and give him next year can be found in the most recent article by "Mr SEC". It is simply STUPID to change coaches and set the program back another three years. Anyone who thought the rebuilding was going to be smooth, even, and quick was deluding themselves. It may require more than one coach... but someone MUST be given the time to establish a foundation of talent to build on.

I mean I didn't expect to go to the BCS in year 1 or 2, but I don't think a winning record at least one, if not both seasons was too much to expect.
If you didn't think that was a possibility... you didn't compare UT's roster to those of other SEC teams nor did you look at UT's SEC West draw in '12 without even considering the players that were lost.
Besides the fact this guy is a proven loser at multiple coaching stops, lets look at the karmic disaster this idiot has proven to be....
Not true. IIRC, he won a NC with Saban at LSU. He took LT to their first bowl game in years.

Year 1: two most improbable losses within the same season I've ever seen...leading to a NCAA rule change and a losing season.

Year 2: Losing the best QB-WR combo we've had in a long while @ UT within a matter of weeks....

However, only a guy like Dooley could upstage his own early season bad luck with what he accomplished last Saturday in Lexington.... a WR who hadn't played QB in 4 years since high school beats us by running one play the entire game.
They didn't win because they played great on offense or even did much for most of the game. They won because Bray played poorly and focused on D Rogers almost exclusively and because UT's run game never developed.

Why do the sheep have so much optimism with this time-tested losing machine we call Derek Dooley?

He's always been a loser and continues to be such...

0-24 when tied or trailing at the half...What makes you think he can rally his team to beat Bama or LSU at the half down the line in his career when he can't lead a rally past UK with a WR playing QB running the same play the entire game?

The only reason this Karmic Disaster Derek Dooley even has a punchers chance next season is the fact he has the best QB we've had since Peyton...And just like Peyton, Bray could/prob will go #1 in the NFL draft....However, last Saturday's catastrophe makes me think even with a full compliment of upper classmen starters and more quality skill guys on Offense than we've had since fill in the blank Dooley still won't get it done next year.

Why would he? History shows he never has....

Whats Dooley got up his sleeve for year 3, Peyton standing on Alabama's sideline wearing a Crimson shirt?

I mean if you were hiring a limo driver, would you hire a driver who was known for always having the worst luck and getting into horrible traffic accidents...Even if the majority of the accidents wasn't the drivers fault would you want to always have him driving you around?

Derek Dooley is our limo driver and he has a bad habit of having the worst events possible occur to him when he's behind the wheel...

Why would you want this kind of guy to lead our VOLS, he has never won anywhere and has worse luck than any coach I've ever seen...Get this mf'er as far away from our program as possible.

I believe it was Napoleon who said, "Bring me the lucky generals".

I think the word "idiot" gets thrown around much too often. These are his academic and athletic credentials:

Dooley was a walk-on wide receiver at the University of Virginia. He earned a scholarship with the Cavaliers following his second season and helped the school to three bowl appearances, including an ACC championship in 1989. In 1990, he was named first-team Academic All-ACC and participated in the Senior Bowl. He graduated in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in government and foreign affairs, and went on to earn his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Georgia in 1994.[5] Dooley practiced law at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough in Atlanta for almost two years before embarking on his coaching career.

I guess my point or question is, what are your credentials that allow you to call him an "idiot"? Please supply them and let the board judge if you are qualified. If you are, you get a free pass. Please supply your "luck" credentials as well.

I never said I didn't understand it was a rebuilding project, because clearly it was...

However, I want to hear why he's a good coach...

Dooley is a HORRIBLE COACH....I have plenty of evidence to defend it...

Tell me how he isn't a HORRIBLE COACH, and use facts...

That was the point of this thread.

:loco:

I'm not sure if this qualifies as a description of a gud coch.

5 PAGES AND NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHY HE'S A GOOD COACH....?

Take a look in the mirror sheep...What are you defending?

I am right and you are wrong.

I'm waiting to hear how he's a good coach and be proven wrong but I bet that doesn't happen.

No one will address my question, how is he a good coach sheep?

It's ok to be wrong Sheep.

Because he has wonderful hair and looks sexy in them orange pants

AHH LAWD!! MMMM!!!

Didnt you know?

Again , why is Dooley a good coach Sheep?

Please answer.

Why don't you ask a relevant question rather than this non-sensical and potentially damaging question?

It simply does not matter at this point if you are right or if Saban and others are right. The ONLY THING THAT MATTERS is what is good for the program.

The article by Mr SEC was pretty much dead on. Dooley definitely made mistakes. He definitely has an uphill climb. But simply put... it would be abjectly STUPID for UT to change coaches right now.

Let him bring in another solid class of talent. Let him have another season to prove he can or cannot turn the corner... You might as well. For all your complaining and condemnation... he is all but certain to be back next fall. There's a very good chance he'll get the 4th year too.

The only thing your "insightful, profound" posts can do... is hurt the program. You aren't going to hurt Dooley except to the extent you hurt the program... and how does that help the next guy?

IF you are fully convinced you are right... then why not pretend to be EXTREMELY positive about Dooley and the direction of the program? If you are right... Dooley's fate is sealed anyway because he can't coach. HOWEVER, you will have done your part to assure that he leaves a great talent base for the next guy to win with.
