TG has absolutely nothing to do with my post. I'm very aware that recruiting is fluid. I guess if you just want to say that, "Well, recruiting changes" anytime someone is wrong, or they give out conflicting info, then you probably don't care about who is generally credible and who isn't. This is a very small part of what I was actually posting about anyway.
I don't see how it impacts a persons "credibility" at all if they adjust their thinking to what the recruiting picture looks like today. What someone said 2-3 weeks ago could be very different of their opinion today. Why? Because things change in recruiting daily. I'd much prefer a person to update their opinions as things change vs always stick to their early opinion even if they know its changed.
"These 25 guys are takes as of today in April". Come July if those same 25 guys are not takes, I don't think I would question the "credibility" of the person giving their opinion. I'd bet CBJ himself would not give you the same answer from Apr to July.
The great thing about this is that I haven't even specified what I was talking about. You're simply defending carte blanche without a clue as to what I'm actually talking about. Of course someone who is a take today may not be a take next month. That wouldn't necessarily be a reason to question someone's credibility, and it's also not what I'm talking about. You're once again swinging at air because you apparently have nothing better to do. You can keep on responding to my posts with nonsense that I wasn't even talking about, but I'm probably going to stop wasting my time responding.

Why would he have to name his source? I'm not picking on you, because a couple of people in this thread have said the same thing. I guess I'm wondering why he would go out of his way to lie and say he didn't get any of this info from someone inside the program, or someone close to the program(if as you guys think, he actually did). Why wouldn't he just say nothing at all on the subject? There are plenty of ways of disseminating the information without giving up your source, and without claiming you don't have a source at all. People do it all the time. I don't really have an issue with anything he said (though some of it seems inconsistent with things he's previously said, and I don't think he's close to being correct on all of the points and speculation about how the class will finish) in the sense that if it plays out that way I'll be unhappy at all, I just don't follow the reasoning that he just had to lie about where he got the info if he actually has a source.

That's my point. He's not gonna name his source. It's common knowledge Matthews is always around the program. He goes into enough detail for me to know he wasn't just "guessing" I mean he hosts a weekly show dedicated to UT football. The man knows what's going on inside the program. Others earlier in the thread were saying otherwise.
I don't think we were making the same point. I was just saying he didn't need to name his source, and he didn't need to say there is no source if there is one. There's a middle ground, such as not naming names, or simply not bringing it up to begin with.
I find it strange that, with all of the detail that Matthews mentioned about UT's and, specifically, CBJ's recruiting strategy and procedures...that so many would question whether his information came from someone with direct-knowledge or experience from within the program.
Is "Torrence Gibson" the magic word to immediately discredit Matthews or anyone else for that matter?
TG is steadily approaching Jesse Scroggins territory, in terms of VN's infatuation. I swear if one of you posts a "Dear Torrence".....
For me its got nothing to do with Gibson. DM is not a coach and is not on the coaching staff. Unless it comes from them, I don't believe anything a media personality says. How many times have they been wrong? Plenty. I trust in the coaches and thats all.
