Doug's NCAAF Betting Conquest

So, I added heck of a lot of games Saturday morning and couldn't update you all because it was girlfriend's birthday. Went 11-7 this week, with 3 boneheaded calls (Toledo, KState, La Tech). I'll take it.
I hope you've finally been disavowed of the notion that Kansas State is anything but terrible.

I went 12-4 with a push on my spread pick'ems. :rock2:

Went perfect here at VN and think I went undefeated on another board as well... must've been an easy week to pick. :p

Yeah, I have to, now. I didn't think they'd be good this season at all (predicted them to finish last in the B12 North). However, their loss to Louisville wasn't a blowout, and Baylor hadn't been impressive.

They did nothing against Baylor ... which is bad.

Hey VIA here is what I am looking at early tell me what you think.

UCF (+3.5) @ Marshall

Texas A&M (-1.5) @ Kansas

Washington (+20.5) @ USC

LSU (-2) @ Florida

Central Michigan (+3) @ Toledo

Missouri @ Texas Tech (-4)

Tennessee (-2.5) @ Georgia

I love the Texas Tech game by the way.

I like everything but your Washington and Tech picks. Carroll knows his team needs a dominating performance this week, and Washington is just bad enough to get dominated. Missouri is playing good football and I see them staying unblemished for another week.

I disagree on all counts.

Missouri hasn't played anybody.

Washington has looked much better than they did last season, and USC's defense is actually winning their games. Low scoring games are closer games, and I feel the Wash/USC game will be low scoring. USC could very well cover, but I see something like 24-10 or so.

One game I just noticed that I love is.

Duke @ Alabama (-28.5)

If you look at Duke they may be the worst team in college football this side of Temple and Alabama after back to back tough losses should be looking to prove a point. They should win like 49-10 in this one I would say

Ok these are the games I have officially added.

Texas A&M (-1.5) @ Kansas

Central Michigan (+3) @ Toledo

UCF (+3.5) @ Marshall

Tennessee (-2.5) @ Georgia

Oklahoma (+4.5) vs. Texas

LSU (-1.5) @ Florida

Wyoming (-1.5) @ New Mexico

Don't like the OU pick at all.

Don't like the OU pick at all.

I have a few reasons for liking this game.

1. Stoops with an extra week to prepare is always dangerous.

2. OU was embarrased last year so at the very least they should be able to keep this within a field goal.

3. A loss like the one to Oregon can either break a team apart or cause them to play with a chip on their shoulder, I think it will be the latter.

4. And honestly I don't see OU losing again this season.

5. And finally two words: Adrian Peterson.

Hope I made a decent case anyways:thumbsup:

But is Texas Tech somebody this year? They only put up 3 points against the vaunted TCU Horned Frog defense that gave up 30+ to BYWho.

Not slamming you or anything, just debating.

TT definitely has question marks. TCU is a weird team, but TT has beaten average Texas A&M and UTEP teams, whereas Missouri hasn't beaten anybody. I like TT by 10+ on the road.

I dunno, Mizzou laid it to Ole Miss, then Ole Miss went and hung right with Georgia. They also had a lot easier time with Colorado than Georgia did. I hate basing a prediction off who did what against who, but that actually looks good for the Vols.

Be real careful JB, our offense BLOWS, right now anyway!

Yes I know but Duke has scored a total of 13 points in four games and been shutout three times including by RICHMOND. And I am sure the Alabama defense is better than the Spiders D. So they should shut them out and I'm sure you can put up at least 30 even a bad UVA team scored 37 on them last week.

My games so far this week. Some are at Bowmans, but I also opened an account on Mansion, and bet some games on the sports exchange:

Western Michigan (-3.5) @ Ohio

Missouri @ Texas Tech (-4)

LSU (PK)
@ Florida

ULM @ Arkansas State (-6) [Bowmans]

ULM @ Arkansas State (-4.5) [Mansion exchange]

Penn State (-2.5) @ Minnesota

Tennessee (-2) @ Georgia

Nevada (+10.5) @ Hawaii

TCU (+2.5) @ Utah

Rice (-2.5) @ Tulane

New Mexico State @ Idaho (PK)

Virginia (+6.5)
@ East Carolina

More soon, I'm sure. 35-22-2 on the year ATS.

Akron (+6.5) @ Cincinnati

LSU (+1) @ Florida

Added:

Clemson @ Wake Forest (+16.5)

LSU @ Florida Under 40

Baylor @ Colorado Under 36

Northwestern @ Wisconsin Under 43

North Carolina @ Miami Under 42.5

Washington @ USC Under 49

Added MORE:

South Carolina @ Kentucky Under 52

Maryland (+14)
@ Georgia Tech

North Carolina (+19) @ Miami

Memphis @ UAB (-5.5)

For as much complaining as I did about using a spread to pick games... I'm pretty frickin' lucky at it. Went 14-3 (top 25 games) this week and 26-8 the last two weeks.

Of course, it's easier when it's just an online pick'em thing with no money on the line. :)

I went 7-2 on the games this week and picked up some side cash with the over on the UT-UGA game and on the A's and Mets series.

Rough week. Went 12-13 ATS. Should have won the Baylor/Colo Under bet and the Penn State -2.5 bet. Could have been been a 14-11 week, which still sucks.

YTD: 47-35-2
