way to drop off the texas tech pick, knew you had it in ya. :)

Yeah I'm glad I did but at the same time I dropped off the Washington pick too :bad: . I did make up for it earlier by loading up on the Eagles against the Cowboys. That was a good one :) .

10/12-10/14

Light slate as of now.

Utah (-4) @ Wyoming

Arizona (-4) @ Stanford

Missouri (-2.5) @ Texas A&M

If Arizona fails to annihilate Stanford, Stoops II will have to consider his tenure in Tucson doomed.

Agreed. Even with the Cats' awful offense, it's still not as bad as the Cardinal's defense. Should be a 10 point win at the least.

After they drilled UCLA last year, I really thought Stoops had them headed in the right direction.

I did, too. The 17 point loss to USC at home wasn't awful, but the clobbering they took in Tuscon from Washington, followed by another drubbing from a mediocre UCLA team made me realize they aren't any better than last season. Adam Austin did look far better than Tuitama has, but it was only a drive or 2 I think.

solid picks, mizzou is for real, arizona needs a win, and utah is just plain better than wyoming.

Stupid Gophers. I ignorantly took them to cover hoping they could man up for a rivalry game.

Then I also took Iowa to cover against Indiana. Oye.

Syracuse just had to get that FG in the 4th against West Virginia to make the deficet 24 instead 25 which I had WVU to cover. Agh. Gonna be a bad week. 0-3 so far.

Vandy is gonna cover for me, Iowa State is still iffy at +19 with 7 minutes left down 27-9.

Last week: 7-9-1 (stupid Missouri)

YTD: 54-44-2 +9 units

So, this week, I got on lines EARLY ... like Sunday afternoon time. I made 5 bets for 5 units each, which is a first.

5 units plays

Texas (-6.5) @ Nebraska

Tulsa (-12) @ Memphis

Wisconsin (-5) @ Purdue

West Virginia (-19.5) @ Connecticut (this has moved to -23.5)

Boston College (+4.5) @ Florida State

1 unit plays

Oregon (-3.5) @ Washington State

Alabama @ Tennessee (-10.5)

Texas Tech (-2.5)
@ Iowa State

Miami (-17.5) @ Duke (this opened as Miami -23.5 but moved SIX POINTS from the suspensions. Miami's non-scholarship players would beat Duke by 18+)

I like all these picks, I am going to get in on most of the same games.

You should be rooting for UCONN to go to +24.5. Then you have a chance to catch a rather large middle.

Yeah, a 5 point middle would be nice, and I think quite possible. With 2 HEAVY running offenses, the win shouldn't be by much more than 23, honestly. If that thing gets to 24.5, I'll take a hard look. Anything higher, I'm on it.

I don't want to sound too dumb here but what is a middle ?

Take one team at the initial spread, then take the other side as the spread rises or falls. For example, in the game we're discussing you would have WVU -19.5 and UCONN +24.5. That allows you to win both bets if the margin is 20-24.

A middle is when you bet both sides of a huge line move.

For instance, I liked WVU early at -19.5 and I knew it was going to move away from me. If UConn +25 or 25.5 ends up happening, I'd bet UConn +25.5 or whatever.

If the game ended with WVU winning by 20-25 points, I win both bets.

I like that middle because you have two natural margins included, 21 and 24.

Cool thanks, I thought thats what you guys meant but I wasn't sure.

ahh magic numbers, usually relegated to those that take teasers. i think wvu wins by 21, so i like that middle.
