I don’t get why Arkansas changed what has worked all year. I know Kopps is good but they literally hadn’t lost a series all year so why start him now? He pitched fairly well but I just don’t understand the change.

Honestly, it's not as horrible of a call than most want to think. Arky lost the game so it looks stupid. State can hit and kopps held them to 3 runs. He was just left in one too many pitches. Probably should have pulled him in the 6th or 7th regardless.

The real story is Arky's lack of offense. From 21 runs to 2?

Yes. I agree. Easy to second guess but state was starting to turn on his stuff and he’s NOT Superman. That pitch hit for the HR in the 9th was out over the plate and a lot of hitters in D1 could have porched that pitch. Again easy to second guess…I guess.
