Duke Crews and Ramar Smith Dismissed

Once AGAIN, we Vol fans are victims to stupidity. Gosh, man ... this crap exasperates me! When will these guys EVER learn to put down the blunts??!!!???!!

I loved both Duke and Ramar -- too bad. Maybe they'll learn getting high wasn't worth it ...

My first reaction was "Oh no!". I still am saddened by this but this can certainly be overcome. Ramar had a worse sophomore year than freshman year and I never was sold on his commitment to getting better. It does hurt our numbers, but Ramar wasn't exactly playing great ball this year.

I am really disappointed in Duke and hate to see him go. He didn't contribute much this year due to the injury and fighting to get back into the rotation, but I always liked his oncourt attitude and fire. I think we are ok in that position with Duke gone, but it just makes me sad.

Dude...Mackey is one of the top 3 players in Ky...I'm a KY basketball guy....of course I have contacts in the courts up there.

The funny thing about that is that Bud Mackey played for Harmony Christian last year, which is a prep school in Cincinnati, OHIO... not KY.

I also applaud Pearl for making the tough decision and sticking with his guns, even though this hurts the numbers at point.

I bet Major Wingate gave them some really dank stuff that they couldn't pass up. Maybe they can all go live with Travis Henry now.

Are you really trying to tell me about Bud Mackey?

Mackey transferred to Harmony Prep after being kicked out of his school in KY for the arrest. He's being tried in KY. Cincy is where his grandmother lives and he ended up dropping out of Harmony Prep as well. I spoke to Bud about 10 days ago and am pretty sure I'm up to speed on his situation....unless he's gone back to HS and graduated in the past 10 days.

So you're saying if you keep up with Kentucky basketball players you really need to have contacts in the courts of law as well?

I know. What did he fight through? It wasn't as bad as they thought and he got to play. Fighting through something is like Lofton ! Taking cancer treatment and feeling the pain from it. Sick in his bed throwing up while his parents are 100 miles away. That's fighting through something. Tell me, what did Crews have to do?

You get dumber with every post.

No, I'm saying that almost everyone in KY keeps up with UK basketball...My site is the second largest UK site and generally regarded as the best for inside info....SO...when a top ranked baller gets arrested, I get plenty of PM's from people involved in the case...many of which love to talk about hoops and don't mind sharing info to get some info.

Imagine if the top RB in the nation was from TN and he got arrested, don't you think some of your UT insiders would have the inside info?

Listen, what Lofton did was absolutely incredible. But you should probably do some research about Crews before you say he didn't have to fight or work through anything.

Let me ask you this: if someone told you tomorrow that you had an unidentified heart condition, and you couldn't do anything that related to your life's dream, would you consider that nothing?

Probably not. We aren't a bunch of high school jock sniffers.

Thanks for your valuable insight on Ramar.
