Dy'shawn Mobley

Is that what your doing with your worthless post? Without the smart remarks by you guys who have nothing intelligent to say it's simply a discussion on Mobley's merits. That is after all what this message board is for. If you want to participate in the actual conversation then jump in otherwise STFU.

btw, I see your other five posts have been just as good as this one. I don't know how this site managed without you.

"E.T." Dunlap is back pumpimg Mobley...

everyone get out their ray guns ~ :machgun::gun:

Whatever.

I know why UT won't offer Dyshawn. It is because UT is much better than the schools that has already offered (Mississippi State and Kentucky). That must be why they won't offer Mobley. O wait UT lost to Kentucky's WR playing QB this past saturday. :lolabove:

Guys Dyshawn Mobley would not go to TN regardless to whether they offerred him or not, but saying that if MSU is going to offer then they must see something that UT doesn't because right now MSU's program is better then the Volunteers. Wish I didn't have to say that, but thats the sad truth right now. Therefore if MSU could offer him to play RB, then TN could use him too.

Anyone with any common sense understands why UT is not sitting out front of Mobleys home hoping he would consider them. UT has (3) RBs already commited and all of them look to be better prospects than he is. Watson has world class speed, Hill is 15lbs heavier than Mobley and has equal or better speed. Hill also has about 15 offers which says alot vs Mobley with his 2 offers. Cross is bigger than Mobley and is a bit quicker. He also has alot more offers.

UK has 1 RB commited(Mobley) Miss ST has 1 RB commited. It would make sense they would be interested in another back. It's cute how you guys have been crying for a week saying how great the kid is and how Tennessee should want him so bad. You then realize it is a lost cause and say he would never had went to UT anyway. Got to love the home town fans pulling for the local kid.

Thanks for the input, Mr. Mobley.

He definitely plays with 'tude. Looks like a t-h-u-g. But nice mix of power and speed. If he can stay out of trouble, he might make it somewhere. But I have a hunch he can't stay out of trouble. He scored and only one teammate congratulated him. That is usually a warning sign. Have a feeling that his real name is Me'Shawn Mobley.

If he would not go to UT then why would UT offer him? UT has looked at him twice and said no, thanks. Mobley still wants to go UT or this crap would have dried up by now.

This kid is a talent. He is a great runningback to me. If he had Henry county line it would be easier for him IMO.

Not a speed back or Powell would be ahead by a TD there.

Yeah, I asked before for a 40 time on him and never heard a number. He was out in the clear and they ran him down without problem. Mathers from Blackman is long gone in that situation.

Quite a game...these two are evenly matched. Two good teams!

Mobley finished with 209 yards on 24 carries, giving him a state-record 3,068 yards on 251 carries (12.2 YPC).

Henry County's line was huge! We could have used them at UT this year! Best game of the night I thought! Hate that my Alma Mater lost though. I think Powell will have enough weapons returning next year to possibly make another appearance in the State again.

Glad to see that Mobley had a good game and will be moving on to Kentucky or Mississippi State. He will join Jared McGaha at Michigan State, as a Div 1 player. Lowe has placed four kids in Div 1 now with Lee Smith playing for the Buffalo Bills and Marshall, and the Late John Bruhin also at Marshall. I think Powell has a sound program and is in good hands!

Agree with you on Matt Lowe. He has the Panthers at the next level. I thought that McPhetridge scored on that first drive of the second half. Too bad they do not have replay in high school playoffs.

I am glad that Mobley is getting a ride in the SEC, but I also see why the coaches at UT passed on him. If he had SEC speed he would have been the MVP of a state championship team now. He is a gutsy player and works hard to punish defenses.

I hope that #17 is an underclass man. He has a lot of potential in that offense.

Mobley seemed to have very good vision and cutting ability. Just not top level speed as y'all stated.

Mobley is a very good high school RB, but frankly, we do have backs with the same skill set committed to UT. Those committed backs are bigger, faster, and possess the same running style as Mobley. That is not a knock on the kid. It means that we have better RBs on the line than Mobley. Our staff has done a good job of evaluating this situation.

Yes, that was a great game! Best of the championship games. I saw Randell Cobb play in that for 2 or 3 years and I couldn't believe that Fulmer wasn't offering him a scholly. He was clearly a big-time talent if you could figure out where to play him. Mobley is a good solid back. Obviously a tough kid, hard to tackle, marginal speed. For me, he is on the border line fence of whether we should offer him. Since we already have three other RBs committed in this class, I think we are doing the right thing in passing on him. Do wish him the best of luck however. Hope he is highly successful whereever he goes.

I'm also glad that we missed on the Jelks kid from Henry County. He might work out, but again, he looks like a marginal talent right now and the OL isn't a position of need for us.

I have watched him all season and last night is the first time he has been caught from behind by anyone but he also played more defense last night than he has all year. I have been told by several people that know him well that he has been times consistenly at 4.5.

Good luck to Mobley at UK. Great East TN HS running back. But that doesn't usually translate well to D-I football.

He was completely gassed on that long run. He had already carried it 2 or 3 times starting at the 1. I think if that was 1st quarter he might go the distance. HC's secondary was very fast. Great game though.

I don't think anyone said he had top level speed. However, neither did Emmit Smith and he is NFL all time rusher. He ran a 4.7 at the combine :eek:hmy:

HC was the fastest secondary we played all year.
