I've been to just about every Powell game this year, and I've seen Cross on no less than 5 occasions. Mobley is better. Idk how many times I have to tell y'all this, but north GA talent and east TN talent are almost identical. Hell, the geographical regions are almost identical. I've seen a lot of football from both sides, and they're similar. Now south GA and ATL are a different story, but Cross wouldn't play them until the playoffs anyway.

The Mobley discussion has been beaten to the ground, so I won't get into it, but your story has one major hole. How could you have seen nearly every game Powell played this year, and still see Cross play at least 5 times?

Apparently this staff wants to take a few local kids every year. I'd take this kid before i'd take Blanc. I know its UK, but he's got an SEC offer and not taking Cobb looked dumb in hindsight.

If you're gonna gamble a scholly on a local kid, this is the one i would've picked. JMO

If he were a Saftey with 4.4 speed, you might have an arguement. As he is a RB, not much.

I hear he has grade issues.. And isn't he the guy who was suspended a game or two last year for stealing a bunch of stuff out of the locker room?

I know I talked to one of the coaches personally as I graduated with one of them, he said the grades were not an issue AT ALL. I did hear about the suspension though, its said to not be a factor anymore due him cleaning his act up this year though. Take it for what it's worth.

Ok let's try this again. Cross played more than one year of high school football. Wow, What a thought...

The kid has no offer and will not get one this late in the game unless ALL the RBs commited decide to go somewhere else and the 19 RBs on the board higher than Mobley turn CDD down. All the crying is not going to help.

I don't have to admit to anything, that's what happened. I saw one game of Cross' this year and the rest last year. But I've still seen both play, and Mobley is the more talented back. Now argue with me some more about two guys you have never watched anything but highlights on.

No comparison in the talent here. Cross faces competition. Mobley runs up stats and hangs out the second half of games. Ive grown up and played football here my whole life. These kids that play in surrounding Knoxville areas are undersized, and outmatched when someone with a little talent (Mobley) plays against them. Don't bring up Cobb, or I'll cue (name one other time another local kid has come back to haunt us) argument.

Well I grew up where Cross plays my whole life, and he faces weak competition. The north GA mountain schools are awful. So I don't see your point.

What makes you think I haven't seen either one play in person? Furthermore, why are you being a prick? I haven't argued with you over anything. I simply pointed out a potential flaw in your "Diary of a Football Scout" and you jump on the defensive, which was completely predictable. Not that I really care, but I honestly don't think you've seen either one of them as much as you claim, and have simply inflated your attendance at their games in an attempt to add substance to further your agenda.

Lol if you only knew. For you NTHers out here, Dy'shawn reminds me of TJ Pitts when he was at NH. Same cuts, same quicks, a little less speed, but with a mean streak.

Good question. If I had to guess though, it would be your personal crusade to exhort the talents of the unstoppable force that is Dy'shawn Mobley, and how he is without a doubt, in your "professional" opinion, better than Cross. Am I close?
