Yeah, I asked before for a 40 time on him and never heard a number. He was out in the clear and they ran him down without problem. Mathers from Blackman is long gone in that situation.
Quite a game...these two are evenly matched. Two good teams!
His 40 time is consistently in the low-mid 4.5's. He will improve his 40 and can get it to a 4.4 if he works.
2010 40 time: 4.78-4.85
2011 40 time: 4.51-4.56
If he works as hard as he did last year in the off-season I expect that 40 time to drop in the 4.4's.
Secondly, in that run it was not an accurate picture of his speed because you could tell he was considerably gassed and ran out of steam after about 25-30 yards as he had already gotten 20 carries in that game, and he is not used to that many carries as he only averaged 12 carries a game during the season.
Dyshawn will not give you the speed of Mathers, or Kimbrow, but he gives you a combination of speed, power, and VISION, which makes him unique.
As many Henry County fan's said they have seen Mathers, Kimbrow, and several other running backs, but Dyshawn Mobley was the best running back they have faced or seen play in over 15 years. Henry County only gave up an average of 120 yards of total offense a game and Dyshawn rushed for 208 by himself. Great player and great young man.
Not just the fans of Powell believe he should have an offer from UT, but every team we have played. Henry County fans are baffled over UT not offering him. Not just said by me, but by everyone who has seen him play that he is the BEST running back in the state. He should start for the EAST in the EAST vs WEST all-star game, so tune in to see that.
Congrats to Henry County on a hard fought game, and congrats to Panthers on a great year. Panthers lost that game due to huge penalties and turnover's. I could watch those two teams play a hundred times and not get bored truly two evenly matched opponents that I believe had the best defenses in the state.
